To those saying Halo 5 is bad...
because it didn't get perfect scores yet the majority of them play a 6/10 game (destiny). The campaign isn't bad at all, it has the richest gameplay of any Halo, so many ways to engage each situation and the environments, graphics, and audio are more immersive than ever. The only gripe is that the story is "too complex" and "too hard for casual halo players to follow", yet this is actually a positive for big Halo fans such as myself. People complained about the cliffhanger of Halo 2.. And look how that game turned out.
As for the multiplayer, considering it has dedicated servers and caters for competitive and casual perfectly with arena and war zone, and finds games quicker than ever before, I'd say it's pretty much perfect.
The game is easily a 9+/10. Halo 5 was only "overhyped" if you expected it to be a guaranteed 10/10.
Stop trying to justify your pathetic addiction to Destiny by wanting to believe that Halo 5 sucks. I'd be willing to bet 90% of these people putting down Halo 5 are either Destiny players, PlayStation fanboys, or Cod players... Probably all of the above.
To the remaining 10% that disliked, I'd like to know, what game are you putting ahead of Halo 5 this year? (Fallout doesn't have multiplayer).

The only issue I had was Friday when out of 10 slayer and 10 swat matches we got orion 17 time back 2 back.

1 ReplyI think the game is fine on how it is. Nothing needs to be changed and to think the game sucks or say it does. Says a lot about that person expecially if they haven't even played any of the Halo's. One thing that cracks me up on this is how a lot of the people on here can't even see it themselves that they are so Destiny blind. How long has Destiny been out? How long have you been playing this game? Im going to tell everyone this. Most of the players on here have played since year one. Guess what? You are addicted to one game. Mind you, im at fault to on this but woke up to reality. Everyone that has been just playing this game has build a comfort zone. So trying any new gameplay will feel awkward and most do not like change. That last statement is what keeps players from either trying new games or will give them the impression that any game sucks if it dont have the same feel as Destiny. Then there are the ones that live in the past hanging on to something that is ment to be in the past, but hoping they can find that same feeling. Looking for something that isn't there is setting yourself up and its your own falt.

Anybody that has a differing opinion is obviously wrong, and probably mentally handicapped in some way. I mean, who in their right mind would disagree with MY opinion? I love halo 5 its awesome and so much ^^ better than destiny that's for sure. by far my most hyped game this year, i'm a bit hyped for battlefront though and i don't even like fallout and that's that.

1 ReplyFrom what I played it was just kind of meh. The few campaign missions I played didn't draw me in, multiplayer just felt like better Halo 4, and the Req packs were an ENORMOUS turn off.

16 Replieshalo 5 'is' garbage and i have no interest replaying it every single mission just felt like a linear turd of endless prometheon waves - theyre boring to fight and fighting the warden over and over again shows a lack of imagination there wasnt a single moment in the game that stood out like great missions like 'silent catographer', 'assault on control room', 'the maw', 'long night of solace' or 'new alexandria' halo 5 is pretty much a bland experience throughout - it may have looked pretty at times especially on genesis, but it was a bore to play just like halo 4 this was supposed to be halo for a new generation on a more powerful console - they could have used the extra power to create larger environments or larger battles, or more diverse vehicle sections - but no, apparently wanking to 60fps is more important

The thing with halo 5 in my opinion is that people are taking everyone elses word that the campaign is short. When really they only played it on easy or normal. Play it on legendary for the true time. It did sorta throw me off that the whole chief is a traitor thing was brushed so easily. But i really like this campaign either way even if you barely play as chief and the far superior blue team. But i realize that that this was setting up for halo 6 which im sure will be even more amazing. Multiplayer is pretty good too.

If anything it's too simple. The story in Halo 5 has nothing to do with the Expanded Universe. It threw out everything Halo 4 set up with the whole Forerunners coming back, the Didact, the whole ONI dictator stuff, basically everything in #HunttheTruth and so on. And went with the generic AI revolution shit. The reason that the story in Halo 5 is hard to follow does not have anything to do with "casuals" it's the weird pacing and set up that throws people off. The dedicated servers are far from flawless, I've seen plenty of people stating that they're ending up in US servers while living in the EU. And the multiplayer is crazy lacking, and you can't excuse that with durr there will be free updates with shit that should have been in the game to begin with. It's not a finished game. So what I have to say to you is, "Stop trying to justify your pathetic addiction to Halo by wanting to believe that it's a flawless game." I hated Destiny and dislike Halo 5.

The cliffhanger is not the problem. The story being to complex is not a problem. The problem is the story is bad. Destroying character development. Horrid character dev for new characters. Throwing Cortana into the most over used boring sci-fi trope of all time rendering her character bland, boring, and just plain stupid. Using Cortana as an equally over used boring cliche to steal cheap feels from the audience. Using the same boss again and again (insert destiny uses same bosses all the time here). This is why I don't like Halo 5. From what I hear the multiplayer is great and has somewhat returned to the roots, but I don't care about or want to play the Multiplayer. Halo is all about campaign for me. Based off of that I would give it a solid 3.5 out of ten. giving it a 9 out of ten for multiplayer ( it has gotten exceptional reviews but it came out unfinished) the games as a whole is a 6 out of ten for me.
