"Getting back Terra and the Moon."
He looks around, lowering his voice a bit.
"Look, you guys are on defense, what's the best way to win a war? Get on offense. The weapon cache will help us get a foothold along with more weapons."

"Listen here you insolent little bugger, I've won wars much like this with similar tactics. Tactics, which you know nothing of. The moon is of no importance to us at this moment, as it has shown us no threat or actual tactical value. We are already winning this war, and we sure as hell don't need filthy alien tech to finish it."
-
"The Moon is housing a base of Necrons. They took over and pushed everyone out. Necrons aren't a threat?"
-
"and? They haven't done a thing since then. No matter what it is they're doing, it's not stopping us from fighting our enemies. We have more important things to worry about than some necrons."
-
"Some? Sir, there's armies up there."
-
"and there's more armies down here. What even is your point, son?"
-
"The Necron threat is growing. It will get worse, you know it will."
-
"and by the time it does, we'll be ready. I can't go around listening to every crazy person blabbering on about apocalypse. This is apocalypse, right now."
-
"I know that. And if we're going to prevent the next one, we need to take the moon back. If you have such a great foothold here, why not divert some troops to distract the Necrons and get them off the moon?"
-
"and since you seem to have everything planned, why don't you share with me how you think we'll do that without killing ourselves by throwing soldiers to Luna?"
-
"A quick, small strike. Get in and get out. Before they even know what's going on."
-
"see, Necrons are always suspecting. And not only is their grid impenetrable, but it's impossible to get out. So once again, I'm not too eager to throw poor soldiers at them."
-
He nods. "What if we led a company of Orks to the Necrons, get them on each other and airlift the grunts out?"
-
"how about you stop wasting my bloody time?!"
-
"Whatever. If we use Tau technology, we'll stand a better chance against the Necrons. Why don't we get some of said tech?"
-
"and how do 'we' plan on getting said Tech?"
-
"The vault, the moon, we've been over this."
-
"so you're bloody asking me to waste troops over some hunch that could potentially get us technology?"
-
"Pretty much."
-
"bloody salads..." it ran through python's mind that mere words wouldn't be enough to convince such a conservative man.

Edited by Python824: 10/28/2015 3:09:49 AM"What would it take to get you to send troops there?"
-
"Unless you have solid bloody proof that there's something worthwhile for us in there, not a chance."
-
"Fair enough." Python walks off, shaking his head.
