Petition for Vanity Slots and Gun Skins
Sign here if you want vanity slots for your armor and Gun Skins!
Let's grab bungie's attention! We're all tired of looking exactly the same!
-Most are earned but some can be bought
-Found in strikes, raids, patrol, special missions, faction, crucible, you name it!
-Legendary vanity SETS could take quite a bit of grinding, but wanted by the entire community. {Chamoo81}
-To make previous raids more relevant, add legendary vanity sets to them, that way people have a reason to go back to the now irrelevant raids.
-Feel free to add your suggestions below! I'll credit you for creativity. :D
-Let's make this a real MMORPG!
Edit 1: Vanity slots change the appearance of the armour slot it is equipped to but doesn't change anything like light level or stats. Basically like a costume.

Edit 3: Should vanity gear change with armor shaders? That'd be cool

I think that these kind words of statless appearance items are on their way but old gen memory problems are going to keep them coming to fruition.

2 RepliesI like the idea but I feel that it would hamper strategy. We need to know what people are wearing to make and effective strategy with or against them. Without the visual clues, it would make the game a bit harder.

Other MMO games have vanity gear selections. I think it would be decent. I'm sick of looking like every other guy that has done the raid.

Thus, we've added the ability for The Vanity to be equipped in your special and heavy slots in addition to your primary slot. Unfortunately we've been unable to discover the root cause of the bug that causes The Vanity's Firefly to crash the game.
