This guy thinks MACs are the equivalent of a super, and we're still debating over it: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/167571046/0/0/1
So what do you think? Obviously, I'd say that a MAC round could destroy a bubble.
Edit: I'm glad that people think the MAC can shred a bubble. Although it's a slightly biased opinion, a MAC simply exceeds the power of any weapon in the destiny universe.

Would 6 stop doxology? Oversoul could be stopped....

3 RepliesEdited by Ninja Naranja: 10/27/2015 4:51:07 PMA MAC cannon would blow a very big hole in the dreadnought Edit: yeah that guy doesn't know what he's talking about

3 RepliesMACs fire solid projectiles, so maybe? I hardly ever play Titan so I don't know, enlighten me, can Titan bubbles stop damage from a warsat? If not then MAC wins hands down
-
The Mac cannons on the orbital platforms in earth orbit have an impact of 50 gigatons. What more than any nuke we made.
-
It doesn't have to destroy the bubble. It will wipe everything around, above and under it from existance. Guardian down.

6 RepliesWtf is a Mac?
-
1 ReplyIt doesn't even stop a nova bomb ._.
-
3 RepliesWell, given that a Ward of Dawn doesn't deflect damage or projectiles, but rather it devours them. It's Void Light, which is known for it's devouring of everything. Like a Black Hole. Technically, you could test this by putting a Bubble down on the barrel of the cannons in the Twilight Gap.
-
5 RepliesAbsolutely. In the Halo books, MAC cannons could shoot clean through a covenant cruiser and take out it's vitals. 2 golden gun shots doesn't even come close.
-
Of course it can ! A MAC is artillery. Heavy artillery. Very heavy artillery.
-
Of course it can a mac gun is an ship to ship weapon used in space to punch holes in battleships. However the weapon on oryx's dreadnought is many orders of magnitude more powerful than a mac gun as are the blasts deployed by the awoken in that battle

1 ReplyA MAC would destroy the towers bubble is nothing to it
-
6 RepliesMAC round would kill a Sunbreaker using a swords block while in a sunspot ,while in a armor bubble, in a blessings bubble with armor maxed and using an increased armor perks with boolean Geminis armor buff stacked to max .
-
LOL. A MAC round is way above any super. Bubble and area around it would be destroyed.
-
2 RepliesIf a walker tank can break a bubble wtf do u think
-
1 ReplyA light mac found on some of the smaller unsc crusiers would obliterate the bubble, the titan who made it,and most of the surrounding area. The bigger the slug and the force behind it the bigger the crater of course.

2 RepliesMAC rounds? In atmosphere?

10 RepliesIf golgen Gun can, a MAC most certainly can and more.

My Mac is pretty tough but I still would drop it

3 RepliesNo not even close a mac cant touch the dreadnaught's weapon, the wueens harbringers, the cabal's or ecumene's planet busting weapons or Rasputin's anti matter weapons.

4 RepliesEdited by Cerberus369616: 10/27/2015 1:22:42 PMIt would rip the bubble to shreds imho. Just in terms of scale. If a Nova Bomb can crack a WoD then a MAC can, at least if we are talking ship to ship combat MAC. The problem with comparing destiny to other universes from a purely logical view is Destiny has relatively few feats. Very few cutscenes means we only have game play to go off. Is a Nova bomb hyper destructive? Because It does blow up guys, but we have very little base line for how tough those dudes are.It cracks WoD. But, It doesn't hurt the ground or walls though (problem with using game play for Feats, game world's are very static). Is The ground more Durable than WoD? Sounds absurd but we have no proof of the opposite. Halo on the other hand has external sources. Books, Movies, Hours of cutscenes(I know Destiny has the grimoire but most of that covers lore and story). We can see how destructive a MAC cannon is. We can math out how much energy is behind oe. Covenant shields take Plasma Bolts, we know how hot plasma is. MACS rip right through those and titanium ship hulls like butter, giving us a baseline. Not saying Guardians are whack, just it's barely been a year. Hard to compare it to anything with decades of history and source material. tl,dr. MAC wins until proven otherwise, give Destiny more time to prove itself.

Did this stem from my comment!

Of course not. Anything that is at least as powerful as a super can. Supers can only take it out easily, because supers are meant to be able counter other supers.

Even a standard light MAC, like those mounted on frigates and cruisers , could probably destroy a bubble, but a super mac, ones mounted on orbital defense stations and the Infinity, that Titan and anything within a massive radius is gone
