You can only obtain the [u]Skull Mask[/u] by opening up [i]Treasures of the Lost[/i] packages. It is confirmed that the first free package you obtain on your account can contain this mask. Although, you have to be very lucky for this to happen.

This is total horse sh!t. I've played this game for 2,000 hours. I get a stupid legendary engram mask. Someone who has only played 30 hours just got it. For being lucky!!!! This is the dumbest idea ever, Bungie should've known this helmet would be a hot item.

I fail to see where play time has anything to do with this. Just because the guy is new he doesn't deserve the mask? I'm really sick of you people, not everybody spends their entire life playing destiny. Do you realize how sad it is that you have 2000 hours invested in a single game. A game that doesn't really even have that much content compared to others?

First point, I never said the guy doesn't deserve it. I only said he was very lucky. Second point, very prized items shouldn't be awarded based on luck, for example many of these exotic weapons require quest line completions. Same should apply here for the skull. Third point, I really enjoy playing destiny because of its gameplay mechanics and gaming with friends, hence the large quantity of hours played. Many companies reward customers for being loyal customers. I think Bungie should consider this as part of the percentage of getting better rewards.

I just couldn't stop myself from getting mad when I saw the gameplay time comparison, I see people use that on here as a way to show their superiority and it really, really rustles these jimmies of mine. But your correct, I completely agree with you. And I apologize for the latter half of my comment, I can't even really talk shit because I probably have 2500-3500 hours invested into the souls series collectively.

No worries man. I appreciate it. I really wish Bungie would understand that they're really frustrating their loyal fans by doing this type of reward system. Now adding this everserse to spend money on emotes, more ridiculous. I'm done ranting now :)

That's not smart marketing. It's bad consumer experience which in turn will hurt their market because people will quit playing destiny because of dumb crap like this. They should make it an end quest item at least, not a random loot chance.

You think this is a bad thing? Look at how well the CSGO economy is thriving with keys and cases. If you're willing to leave because you can't get a cosmetic item that actually hurts your level during game play. You shouldn't be playing this game in the first place

Don't have a source from Bungie yet. According to most people on the forums it can only be obtained through the purple packages. As nobody has obtained proof of getting one in a blue giftbag, it's more than likely this is the case. Also, it's not dropped as a normal mask and has the [i]Festival of the Lost 2015[/i] in the description where as no other mask does.
