I am the one who had asked that question. And he is wrong and right. Wrong in the sense of Warlocks being useless and Right in the sense that they do need a DPS ability that buffs weapon damage. Don't hate him. I have run a Warlock in HM and have been mostly successful. It's all the player and not the class. You could have 6 Titans & Hunters and still be garbo and not get past Warpriest. You could have 3 Successful Warlocks, 2 Successful Titans, and 1 Successful Hunter and beat HM Oryx.

Warlocks are good as long as they are running the right subclass for each part if the raid. For instance: Part 1, best subclass: stormcaller as it allows you to clear the ads quickly and make way for your relic holders Jump puzzles, any subclass is fine, however you may want to run sun singer simply so you don't screw up Totems, best subclass: sun singer just Incase you die on a totem, you won't screw your whole team over Warpriest best subclass: sun singer simply for clutch moments, and making sure that you don't mess up Golgoroth best subclass: stormcaller because there is really no need to self-res at Golgoroth, and stormcaller is much more effective for clearing adds Sisters best subclass: could be determined by what role you play in the fight, if you are on add duty, you may consider stormcaller, however if you are on a plate, use sun singer Oryx: best subclass: sun singer simply because you will definitely want all 6 people for Oryx, and you surely do not want to die when guarding a plate, or in the shadow dimension. This is what I usually run as far as subclasses when doing the raid. If you run anything different, feel free to mention it.

If the Warlock's supers (including Fireborn) are not useful, then switch to Song of Flame and give the whole fire team their supers twice as frequently. How is that not useful?

Shit tier ? There would be no hunters or Titans without the warlocks , Titans would have no bubble and hunters would have no bow. They would be nothing but dead humans useless in the fight against the darkness. But everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

But the thing is.....he's completely right.... First part of raid: any class is fine and really doesnt matter. [b][u]War Priest:[/u][/b] sunsinger: dps doesnt match up to snipers or sleeper stimulant. Voidwalker: makes the boss move out of AOE and disrupts team accuracy. Stormcaller: Again its super is only usefull for taking out mobs, which is pointless durring the damage phase because you only need to kill an add every 10 seconds. [b][u]Golgoroth:[/u][/b] All subclasses are good for clearing adds, which isnt hard to do without a super. Against the boss its the same case as with the war priest, its dps dont compare with sniper or heavy weapon damage. [b][u]Daughters/Oryx:[/u][/b] Again, all subclasses are useful for clearing adds, but doesn't contribute to boss damage and the other subclasses contribute to boss damage, namely night stalker. Im surprised more people aren't agreeing with him.

Personally I have to disagree when their not needed because their good for ad control and self res which is helpful. Stop being a whiny of what someone says it his feelings so let him be.

Warlocks have been this way since we were all trying vault of glass the first day it was released. I remember the hunters golden gun seeming so overpowered. As I struggled to kill my Minotaur a hunter golden gun kills theirs and helps kill mine. It wasn't until we got actually good weapons that warlock shined. I mean hunters golden gun did a little more then 1k damage. Pretty sure a pistol was almost the same thing. Hunters and Titans will always have their place. They have supers that are team oriented. Warlock with self res can play more aggressive taking pressure off other players allowing them to support the team better. Just my opinion.

Ran Hard mode with 4 Warlocks, 1 Titan, and 1 Hunter my first time. Did it with no problems. Someone must have trouble finding good raid teams.
