Halo Legends is a mockery of the Halo name.

From the trailer, Halo Legends looks absolutely ridiculous and the only similarity to the video games is a man in a green suit running around killing aliens. I enjoy movies without action and don't need explosions to keep me happy but that's exactly what Halo is. Halo is about action, excitement, and blowing stuff up. Don't get me wrong, Halo has a great plot, but that plot doesn't involve touching conversations with people you meet in the forest.
From what I have seen in the trailer, it doesn't seem like a very far off idea to have the people in the anime film to start holding hands and sing campfire songs. It just looks silly. Have you seen the elites?
Also, what is up with the scene that has the giant spartans (which I have been told actually exist and were some of the first models) shooting lighting and hitting shields that look like bubble shields that you wear? This is not Dragonball. Lets also not forget how a sword battle between Master Chief and The Arbiter would never happen.
Lets remember, I am not some redneck that can't sit through a film unless it has explosions and tits. I love movies with deep meanings and great plots. I just think that Microsoft is destroying the great story that is Halo. I'm glad that Bungie won't be making any Halo games after Reach so they don't have to be associated with the crap Microsoft does with the Halo name. What's next, "Master Chief and Friends Take an Adventure in Candyland?"

I'm done with this -blam!-. I honestly expected better from the Halo community, that was a mistake. Instead, I see rabid fanboys dissing Halo Legends because they have ignorant and half-baked opinion on anime in general. But instead of reserving final judgment on the finished product, I guess whining and moaing about the Halo story being told in a different way is just logical. Did it ever occur to some of you purists that most of this will be non-canon? That means it won't hurt the story. Amazing! All you anime supporters are forgetting one thing...in the preview, i saw almost nothing that looked like HALO!! the armor maybe, but the visor was humongous...If ppl want a story on Halo, read the books, not follow some crappy anime about it. dragonball rocks! anyways, don't think of halo legends as something that actually happens in the halo storyline. if it's not made by the same people, then it didn't really happen. halo is just so successful that they are expanding it. i bet it will be an ok to good anime show, so who cares if it doesn't follow halo that much, because it doesn't really happen in the halo that we know.

Oh yea and im sure MasterChief now has long flowed hair under his mask, even though he's supposed to have a military crew cut, ya know, the type of hair cut that you never see in anime because everyone has pretty long hair instead?

*deep breath* If you've watched anime or read manga, it's not all about love storys and happyland.Most of them are about action if you've noticed they try and cut back on slow parts.But without slow parts you wouldn't be able to understand what the heck the story line is without googling it. Look at Death Note or Naruto do you see romance every figgen 10 seconds? No.
