-
-blam!- no upgrade those toasters !!! Holding us back yo !
-
People don't understand the simple fact that if any game gave them the same amount of content as current gen their old outdated machine would crash because it's *OUTDATED* It doesn't take a computer programmer to know this.
-
So it'a clear there are limitations on nenory and processing power for last gen, but the ninjas need to shut down this thread because all these little 12-year-olds whose parents spoiled them with next gen consoles for all their hard-earned D's and F's on their report cards are getting out of hand with their undeserved superiority compleces. OP, just know that you are not the reason I am tapping "report" here.

What are you? Amish?

-
Get a damn Xbox one you cave man. Wtf is wrong with you.

Do you know how much memory the dance animation uses? Ps3 literally cannot handle it. No lie.
-
Hell no
-
Buying a next gen game on a last gen console is never a good idea.

Edited by Tmacca: 10/28/2015 10:01:33 PMWe do have this? And im ps3. One of my friends bought it.
-
YO! no
-
Yo bungie.... Drop old gen.
-
Sorry man. Bungie is smart and this is the beginning of the end for last gen. Better save up my friend
-
Last-gen players are a dying breed. Xbox 360 and PS3 will stop being supported soon. Its only a matter of time.
-
False... Last gen should die... That is all.
-
How about Bungie gives me a working touch of malice quest!
-
The system can't handle it. Bwahahaha
-
Old gen cannot store the emote. Also the reason you are restricted to many things now, all storage. Just sell the 360 with games. And extra money can on the side should be enough for a xbox one.
-
Probably not. Switch over to Next Gen. Its a small push to eventually stop supporting old gen, which needs to be done

Edited by VisageOfAnAngel: 10/28/2015 12:35:11 AMFor the people saying Xbox 360 and PS3 cannot "run" the emote I'm going to explain something to you that people outside the industry do not know for the most part. There are two main types of animation in games these days. The first is called "Root Motion" and the second is referred to as either "static" or "In Place" animation. Both of them use a skeleton to drive the animation. The skeleton has the individual polygons (tris or quads... Destiny doesn't use quads though) "painted" to the bones. That gives the polygons "weight" and they will become attached to whatever bone they are "painted" to. The animator via keyframe, mocap, or (most often these days) a combination of both creates the required animations. The animations are then loaded into memory for the game and played when called by the engine. The difference between the two types of animation is that root motion drives the character movement (walking, jumping, rolling, etc.) across the screen where in place animation does not. In place animations require the engine to apply a vector to the 3D model to move it in the game world. Most network intensive games (i.e., Destiny) do not use root motion for obvious reasons concerning movement syncing. Since Destiny is using the 20+ year old standard of in place animation it only contains the actual data used for rotating the various joints on the skeleton (as opposed to root motion which contains all the rotations along with axis movements) so the file sizes are actually quite small. A 10 second in place animation affecting every joint on a typical humanoid skeletal rig eats up about 500 kilobytes of memory (since most of you are younger that's less than half a megabyte and there are 1024 megabytes in a single gigabyte... in other words, an insignificant amount of memory). A 60 second in place animation affecting the same joints will be 750 or so kilobytes. Trust me, there is absolutely zero technical limitations on a 23 second animation on last gen. This is a calculated effort to force consumers to buy a new console.

Why do people on old consoles expect to get everything on next Gen? Lol it's next Gen for a reason upgrade your console broke boys
