Ghorn Separation of Year 1 = King's Fall RNG of Year 2

It has come to my attention that my prediction for hard mode has lead to be true. I have seen a magnitude of posts that have addressed the problems with the new Kind's Fall RNG system and possible solutions. My favorite solution so far is to have a flat light level drop rate, 310 for normal and 320 for hard mode. Let me explain why a flat light level drop would work. First off the probability of getting a 310 or 320 light level piece of gear is extremely low. Not only is there a probability of getting anything to drop at all, now we also have to contribute to the fact that the light level is also randomized. There is also a massive amount of repeat drops. Having a combination of those three variables makes the probability of getting something to help you progress frustrating to say the least. For example, it's like shaking a dice in a cup hoping for a 6, but at the same time you are not sure if the dice is even going to come out of the cup in order to even give you a chance for the 6. Even if the dice does come out of the cup there is a 5/6 chance of getting a duplicate of another number. Secondly, this would reduce the frustration of getting moldering shards. If you went through normal mode and got nothing but moldering shards then you would know once you have 20, that your efforts are going to be rewarded by a 310 drop from Oryx on normal mode, granted you would not know what item you are going to get. Thirdly, the first day the hard mode came out the year 1 Ghorn separation got turned into the year 2 separation of the King's Fall RNG. What I mean by that is that people who are lucky enough to get higher light level stuff to drop, or stuff to drop at all, are requiring others to have similar luck to them. That is ridiculous. There is no difference between a 309 light level and a 315 light level. All it takes is good communication and the job will get accomplished. I would say a reasonable light level requirement would be 305, not 315. It should be like in normal mode when a reasonable requirement was 295. If people are expecting 315 in hard mode that would be the same as expecting everyone to be 305 when only normal mode was out. In order to have a more validated demand that people be a certain light level (lets stick with 315), there needs to be a 100 percent guarantee that if you get an item to drop it is going to be 320. There is way less luck involved if the drops are guaranteed 320.

  • The biggest problem is your capped to 1 drop per boss a week. It makes everything get delayed longer. I hate this idea because its bungies way of extending the games life
