I'm sick of playing 1v3 or 2v3 in elimination. I don't mind playing a 2v3 every now and then but almost all games of elimination someone leaves the game on one of the teams. Temp ban or take glimmer from people who purposefully quit from crucible.
Edit: The fact that so many people are opposed shows that there is something flawed with the system. If you don't have time to play a full game, don't queue up.
Edit: Welp, if I'm not going to be penalized for skipping a match because people have "lives" and need to "change a diaper" then I'm going to skip out on every unfavorable match from here on out. It's a domino effect bungie. DOMINO!

I'll agree to a certain extent. Although when someone is lagging like crazy it should be excused. There's nothing more annoying than emptying two full clips on their head or melee them five times before your all the way across the map then you get the notification of the kill.
-
Sure. Just as soon as Bungie stops the following : 1) I am not lagged by 0.25 to 0.5 seconds even though my ping time to the MS server is < 25ms and Jitter is< 2 ms, no other devices using my bandwidth and 25+ mbps down and 5 mbps up 2) I don't have to report these 3 to 5 man teams that go red bar eaach time one of them pick up the Spark and htne becomes unkillable until they score, then go Green bar again 3) We no longer have people with Host advantage so they or there team can be "Crucible Gods". 4) Stop making craptacular idiotic Crucible Quests where they penalize losing - so that we leave as soon as we see what the opposing team is a bunch of lag switching 6 man teams.. All of the above can be eliminated if cheap and incompetent BungiVision had dedicated host servers. Until they do, then it has to stay as it is.

1 ReplySame goes for 6v6 modes too. Really pisses me off when people drop and suddenly you're fighting a 4v6. And by the time replacements are found, game's already too far gone and the replacements leave. Have to agree with idea that if you don't have time to play a full game, don't play. The quitting penalty should be -15 Legendary marks and -150 crucible and faction rep. That penalty would only be enforced if a player intentionally quit, because you can't help it when the power cuts out or something like that. After all, no one likes a quitter.

1 ReplyWhen they fix the red bars, lag, and stop putting you in matches that are so bad yOu hear how the team your join is getting stomped while your in orbit matches. Then I will agree
-
1 ReplyNah. I leave if im red bar so i don't ruin things for other people. I probably shouldn't be penalized for doing the right thing
-
How about nooooo
-
Why? I quit out of 3v3 all the time... Why would I want to play a match where half the other team is lagging so bad that they're completely resistant to any type of damage, and will kill you from around 4 corners while painting their nails
-
No, there are too much reasons for leaving and some of them are actually valid.. For instance, I dont think you should be punished for leaving a lagging game with cheaters..
-
No. I'll leave PVP for a number of reasons: -cheating -unbearable lag -AFK teammates -teammate doing nothing but dancing -teammates refusing to play the objective -real life -spawn sniping -KTO (which isn't me leaving, but still)
-
1 ReplyAgreed. 5 minute ban is fair. If they have to leave because their baby is dying they won't mind. They will only mind if they are leaving to join another game.
-
I concur.
-
2 RepliesLet's make it like Halo Reach.
-
7 RepliesI just PvP for the daily marks.....because PvP sucks in this game
-
3 RepliesOh Hell no. I hate when games do this. Some of us do have lives that get in the way of our gaming.
-
Your onto something. I like the glimmer penalty. Banning seems too harsh. With the 3-5 min delay between matches, there's enough time to pee and hydrate yourself. But if you have to slip cause your kids are killing each other, you shouldn't be banned Too many player leave when their team is down and know they won't get the win, so they tap out. We all know this happens.
-
14 RepliesWhat if you have to leave right then. You're saying if I have to leave my console suddenly and must leave the match Im going to be banned? Bullshit.
-
I blame zavala as soon as you get the last required -blam!-ing void kill for my titan ain't no better feeling leaving that bitch.
-
The problem is that Bungie have given to many exotic bounties that require PvP.. that pulls in players (like me) who don't generally want to play PvP.. at least not the excuse for PvP Destiny offers! The worst offender for this is the chaperone/TLW bounty - wins are worth 4%.. losses are worth nothing.. so if it's obvious you're team is going to lose.. well it's a waste of time carrying on. I agree that there needs to be some form of incentive.. or deterrent from quitting matches.. I think they should add something like the vanguard bonus to the crucible.. some kind of reward which means if you stay in matchmaking and don't quit then you get a stacked bonus which increase the chance of decent crucible weapons or armour..
-
this would need to be be multiple games in a row and no error reports to go along. (This prevents players from being banned for bad internet, and players that need to leave once in a while a fine).
-
Bro...you have not played much pvp at all
-
Edited by ProtoSpider: 10/26/2015 10:27:18 PMMaybe because you suck?
-
I ride them out, even if I've joined a game where my team is getting steam rolled and tea bagged left right and centre.
-
It is a never ending circle! People leave and that's why we keep get putting into games already a few thousands behind? And I kinda understand why people leave at the first place, lag, afk..... You name it. When are they going to address all the red bar? Or they should just come out and let us know there's nothing they can do........ Pvp is so frustrating at the moment.
-
No...also...
Nope...end rant...
