Should the old sub classes be rebalanced

Yes, and these changes are good

No, explain why

Comparing the original subclass to the new ones they are starting to look lackluster. Now I don't propose anything like replacing abilities cause we are pretty much use to everything they do. However swapping some perks around could make each class more effective. First up I'm looking into the titans first subclass striker. The heavy handed brute on the battle field doesn't shine in close range quarters that much. So I got a simple way to change that. Solution: swap "Overload" with "Transfusion"
This allows the chancy perk of overload to be mixed with either amplify or transfusion depending one what's more important. Better yet the Insurmountable Skullfort helm could allow for all three at once. Creating a class that enjoys a swarm of thrall more then anyone.
Next is the Voidwalker. A warlock class that loves it's explosives very much but probably wishes they had more bang. Solution: swap "Life Seal" with "The Hunger"
This allows for hunger's increased energy drain to mix with annihilate's increase grenade blast radius, and top off with embrace the void. Bigger explosions, easier to hit with cause energy drain more easily, making grenades ready more often. Throw on a Skull of Ahamkara and the class becomes a real grenadier.
The gunslinger is fine as is but I thought of something anyway. Solution: swap "Knife Juggler" with "Gamblers Dagger"
The old combo of two knives and a precision kill respawns them back remains available and a new style is open. Circle of life combined with knife juggler, for extended super on knife kills and precision kill grants the knife back. Throw on the sealed ahamkara and trash gambler's dagger for incendiary blade, 2 fiery knives that reload after precision kills. Hunters might throw these around more than shoot their guns and what's wrong with that.
Be sure to check out the spoilers for details on how each swapping of perks affects the class and be sure to leave comment or helpful bump. Post yes but disagree if you think these changes are obsolete.

  • Can we have an option for "yes but disagree with your ideas"?

      • Good topic. TL;DR: Voidwalker was my favorite class because it had style, was unique, and had a considerably strong super. With the introduction of voidstalker , stormcaller, and sunbreaker, Voidwalker simply does not bring enough damage or support to the table. Now I struggle to see why I would choose it over stormcaller or sunsinger. Voidwalker is now less viable. Blink, one of the most renowned attributes of warlocks (also where hunters learned blink from), can't reach certain heights. Abilities are now often on confirm compared to other sub classes. Sunsinger gets two of every grenade type, including a clone of vortex grenade, and a self-revive. It has enough DPS during a super to kill multiple enemies over a larger period of time, including making a lot of room for error, and has options for supporting teammates. Sunsinger also features the most useful single-player abilities in the game. Same can't be said for Voidwalker. Stormcaller has perpetual charge, one of the highest damaging supers in the game, features the best version of blink in the game (jump, thrust, blink, thrust), and, cmon, lightning hands are better than Jazz hands. Feedback(the ability) anyone? Recommendations/opinions? Maybe improve the effect of soul rip, or reduce the cooldown of melee/ability. Please make blink capable of clearing the give ship jumping segment of Kings fall.

What about Circle of Life on the Gunslinger skill tree? Circle of Life should be replaced with a perk to grant a 30 second over shield if at least two shots are kills. Also, throwing knife should one shot while Golden Gun is active. OR, kills with Throwing while Golden Gun is active grants an over shield similar to Flame Shield or Force barrier.

          • My main is a warlock. I personally feel very balanced with all three classes, and don't think they need a buff. But I won't say no to one.

          • I like all of the ideas. Completely agree that the older subclasses need some sort of resurgence. I love Voidwalker but it's very meh compared to Stormcaller. All of my friends from other classes say that that theirs could use a buff too so, there you go.

Sunbreaker needs a small nerf. Other Titans need buffs and fundamental changes. All other classes are fine. But no one listens to me. I'm better at fixing games than designing them from scratch.

          • I'm liking your ideas. I personally play these classes more than the new ones, not because I'm bad with the new ones or because I don't like them, just because I enjoy the abilities each class has. But the classes seem softer in comparison to the new.
