I've just started college, and my roommate brought us a PS4. I'm an Xbox One guy, so I've had to start over completely, and we also don't own any DLC. I'm 34 already, but my gear is garbage at the moment. Anyone have any suggestions as to good ways to pick up useful gear that don't require owning TTK? Obviously it wouldn't be as good as if we did have TTK, but any little bit helps. Also, what's the deal with all of the blues having worse stats than greens? The perks are better, but the defense/attack values and stat buffs are generally much worse. Why is this? Or have I just not found the good ones yet? For reference, the activities we have access to without DLC are the three legacy crucible playlists, the base story missions, the level 20 strike playlists, many of the quests they've added, and the Vault of Glass (which is pretty much out of the question because I don't have the contacts or the time to run that).
