I love scout rifles and am looking for a good legendary one. Is it worth it? Do you have anymore suggestions for a good legendary scout
Edit 1: What is so good about Hung Jury?!!
-
I am certain many have already answered your question but the hung jury straight from the dead orbit vendor, not a package, is so incredibly versatile. Triple tap and firefly are amazing for pve or very useful if you don't want to say amazing. It is a high impact scout rifle, though not as high as the trax devotio/last extremity archetype, but still great impact. However, the selling point for me is it's godly stability perk. That thing barely bounces and if you are someone with consistently good aim then you will be able to find a use for that rifle. Even an inconsistent player like me can be productive in pvp. I absolutely love that scout rifle.

Well, I'd imagine you've already gotten Hung Jury. It's got great stability. It's got a beautiful perk roll. It's got that sweet spot between impact & Fire rate that everybody prefers. It's easily one of the best primary legendary weapons in destiny right now. The vanguard scout rifle is very nasty too. The one straight from the vendor. It's roll is fantastic for both PvE & PvP. Especially for PvP actually. Treads Upon Stars is good, IF you get yourself a really perfect roll. Without that great roll, which you honestly can't get a better scout rifle than what's on the Vanguard scout or Hung Jury, Treads Upon Stars kind of sucks. I've had quite a few, & their stability has been awful. Or the roll just sucked. I've yet to get one that I'd use over either of those two scout rifles. & I've had 6 minimum, because I've run a lotttt of strikes.

2 RepliesGrinding? I get them on the reg
-
Tuonela SR4 from Armsday with Firefly, Rescue Mag and Hand-Laid Stock. Nuff said.
-
1 ReplyI finally got one in nightfall last night...awesomely crap. Grinding for a gun is one thing...but when you finally land one and the roll is unusable...you just pray they bring back reforging.
-
I think so. It's basically the new VoC, minister the element of course
-
Get Hung Jury.
-
It's great. I mainly use Hung Jury for pve now, but still use Treads in pvp.
-
-
Nah, I got three and dismantled them all. Just buy hung jury. Its basically the new vision of confluence without the burn or full auto
-
Depends on the roll really. I wouldn't necessarily grind for it, but if you happen to grab one then great. Good perks, even better! I, for one, love the mechanics of this gun and would suggest it.

Edited by _Sych0n0ught_: 10/25/2015 3:25:47 PMI deleted mine. It was only 282 and had bad perks. I use pulse and scouts most. Legendaries: Grasp Of Malok (Pulse) Hung Jury (Scout) Exotics: Red Death (Pulse) Touch Of Malice (Scout) But if they bring back Mida that be will all I'll be using. Hung Jury is great because of the perks from the vendor. But it's stability is great and it hits fairly decent.
-
Nope. Hung jury is better
-
So at this point, I have the vendor versions of Hung Jury and Not like the others, and both have performed extremely well for me. Both are at 310 and I hope to infuse HM raid weapons to bump them up further
-
Edited by The Soviet Bear: 10/25/2015 3:17:07 PMDepends on the roll.
-
Its a strike version of hung jury so no. Just buy hung jury
-
I love it myself. It destroys in crucible (which I don't play often) and its a great way to have a non exotic primary
-
Raid scout rifle is awesome.

It's definitely not worth grinding for. There are vendor scouts with very similar stats. Grinding on the off chance that you get a good roll isn't the soundest strategy. It would be better for you to let a good roll come your way naturally.
-
4 RepliesDepends on the rolls, I've got crowd control, will of light, and firefly on mine so its a beast
-
Hung jury, triple tap, with extended mag it has 21 bullets...think how much death that is... along with firefly or some other perk (last resort?)
-
Mine has Triple Tap and Firefly like Hung Jury, its on my hunter. On my Titan have full auto raid scoutrifle.
-
It's about as good as hung jury if the rolls are good. But if you want the flayer cloaks the game will throw about fifteen at you, and will begin to make you contemplate suicide. T_T
-
Is Tread Upon Stars worth saving or should I dismantle it?
-
It's worth it, trust me.
