That kinda puts an end to upgrading/infusing exoyic weapons & armor that are 280 or 290 ??. Not sure if it is worth having any exotic items, if you can not upgrade them ? When purchasing exotic items from the blueprint, or even when you get a 290 + or - drop, it takes an exotic shard to upgrade, No access to shards, no upgrades. You used to be able to purchase exotic shards from Xur?? Exotic drops are far-and-few between, if you have to dismantle 1exotic item to upgrade 1 exotic item, (noting that most upgrades/infuse are not a 1-for-1exchange, like infusing a 280 with a 290, most of the time you will only get an 70 to 80% upgrade ) If that is the case you would never make any progress in collecting, upgrading or using exotic items Hope Bungie takes note of this oversight

The only sure way now is to buy [b]exotic armor[/b] or [b]exotic engrams[/b] from Xur or receive exotic gear via [b]Three of Coins[/b] from Ultras and dismantle them.

Xur used to sell them for 7 coins but now you gotta dismantle gear and weapons. Maybe run the previous raids to get old exotics to dismantle.

Once you hit 300 you'll start to see 310s drop, then you can just replace.then.
