He specializes in swordsmanship, widely considered to be the best one in Paranmorm. For reasons unknown, Lance guards this title with his life, and the only way to take it from him will be to kill him. He is always willing to teach people in the way of the sword, that is if he deems you worthy. He picks his friends sparsely, and he gives out his loyalty like it's going out of style. Family: Brother to Lilah May, son to the late Chris and Jennifer May. Although, family isn't just blood to Lance. Backstory: [spoiler] Lance had the typical childhood growing up. An apartment in Centra, a sister, and parents. Again, typical. His father was a master swordsman, while his mother was a lawyer. When Lance was 8, he woke up to the smell of smoke in his apartment. A fire had started upstairs, and he attempted to get to hi parents, but fire blocked his way. He also tried to get his sister, Lilah, out, but couldn't find her. Lance continued to search until he almost burned alive himself, narrowly escaping with his life, but not without a reminder. His back was covered in burn scars, which still preside on his body today. He spent a few months attempting to find someone to train him in swordsmanship, just like his father. He had acquired his fathers sword from the dojo his father trained at. And sadly, his fathers Sensei couldn't take him in, struggling to support himself. He then sought out Jonathan Rorik, the famed triple swordsman, master of the lost Santoryu style, the three swords style. Eventually Lance found him, and after a test that left him bleeding from three sword cuts in his chest, Rorik took him in and trained him in the Nittoryu; the two sword style. After a few years, Lance left. He wanted to brave the world on his own without the shelter of someone who had been protecting him. He eventually met 5 teenagers about his age, and they banded together. They all quickly became best friends, even having a secret hideout of sorts. One day when Lance went out for an errand, he was on his way back to their "hideout" and once he entered, all he saw was blood. Floor to ceiling, blood. His friends were gone, and that's all there was, blood. Anyone else would've killed themselves out of guilt or loneliness, but Lance didn't. For the next few years, he took care of himself and trained relentlessly. Getting to know more people, even though he promised he wouldn't make any more friends, in risk of letting them die. First Jack, then Donovan, then more followed. Theron, Etana, Jenna, Faith, and more. Eventually, his sister he thought dead found him again. Lance was overjoyed, but naturally this didn't last forever. His parents killer, Michael James, found Lance in Centra. During Lance's and Etana's fight with him, Lance found out he was his parents killer and his friends. Lance killed him, taking Michael's sword from the rubble that was his apartment. Lance then bought a skyscraper in Centra, which many of his friends live in. Now, today, he trains, and makes sure he lives his life to the fullest. The blade is able to project malleable waves of hardlight, used for throwing energy slashes to making shields. [i][b]The Demon's Heart:[/b][/i] An all black katana Lance acquired from when he killed his parent's murderer, Michael James. The sword, when drawn, encases Lance in a black suit of armor of an unknown material. The armor heightens Lance's strength, speed, and senses. Although, this swords capabilities takes away Lance's normally calm fighting demeanor and brings out the more savage, and crazy side. [b][i]The Dragon Blade:[/i][/b] A sword given to Lance by Edward "Venom" Schrader, it is a katana with a dragon head on the hilt; hence the name. The edge is capable of projecting plasma, making it able to cut most substances. It is the only non-descript looking sword Lance carries, making it a prime candidate for ending non-challenging interactions. [b][i]ES-Pincers:[/i][/b] A twin pair of swords previously wielded by the tin man, Silent Mantis. After a grueling battle with her, Lance was unable to kill her but managed to escape with the swords. [b][i]Venom Armor: [/i][/b]This armor is the armor given to Lance from Edward "Venom" Schrader when Lance became a part of Venom Inc. it is made totally; of a ceramic composite, a titanium alloy, and a carbon fiber mesh. It is capable of withstanding an 88mm shell, (except to joints), a dampening system to eliminate all sound Lance may make, an optical package which contains Infared, Thermal, and FLIR, Mag locks for weapons, and a life support system. The breastplate sports the insignia of Venom, a red cobra, along with Lance's personal insignia, a yin-yang symbol over crossed swords on the shoulder. Back story: [spoiler]Born and raised downtown, left behind in an orphanage to survive on his own Etana had it rough in the beginning. Living in a terrible orphanage, being starved and beat, ignored and punished for no reason, this only made him tougher. He absolutely hated it, and he knew he would die if he didn't change some things. One day when no one was paying any attention, Etana snuck into the kitchen and stole some bread for himself and the other kids who didn't get any food. It worked out for a while until he got caught and was severely punished, he didn't care though. He was sick of this place and he devised a plan, he would run away when school started. Soon enough school started and he was just about to jet and run, until two boys about his age approached him. A cyborg and a psion by the names of Cole and Fatea. They were transfer students and we're going to go to the same orphanage as Etana. He warned them of the place and told them his plan and they both agreed to follow him. After school the three boys ran and laughed as the school and orphanage behind them disappeared from their sight. But soon enough they were all hungry and left alone, they all resorted to thieving, and it worked out well. They were the Robin Hood of paranorm, stealing from the rich and giving to the needy, except they were the needy. As they got older they honed their skills of thievery, shadows and get away. Etana took upon himself the power glove and learned the ways of the hacker on his own through vigorous amounts of hours of training and code breaking. They made their own base of operations where no one will find except them three and it's quite cozy. On their biggest heist yet, stealing from the corrupted government while making it rain credits, virtually of course. But unfortunately Etana missed timed it and caused his two best friends, brothers even, their lives, or so he thought. He was left alone once again, but he kept his chin high and kept in moving. Later he joined a gang called the silent wolves. This was no ordinary gang, they were practically a highly trained militarized group, but they were a gang and a small syndicate. The gangs ranks was based off a deck of cars, the Ace of spades being the leader. This also met they only had 52 men, but then again that was all they needed for anything. Let that sink in. He rose among the ranks and took the Ace of spades position himself. But he realized it was a mistake far too late to join the gang. He knew they wouldn't let him leave so easily, so when they leave expected it he ran away. After about 6 months they stopped looking for him. Alone once again. He left his thieving days behind and he started to become a better person. Soon enough he stared making friends, good friends who he started to consider family. He even found his sister he didn't even knew he had, Jenna. But all this happiness was soon covered by a dark cloud. The wolves were back and they were hurting his friends to get to him. Etana filled with rage, stormed to their base of operations, and killed every last wolf. Showing no mercy whatsoever. Covered in blood, fire, ash, bullets and cuts Etana walked out, fairly easy. He knew he just killed a bunch of people, but he knew they were bad. It was like a dark cloud left paranorm all together. He left his thieving days and became a better person and lives a better and happier but tougher life. But he wouldn't have it any other way. His gun was probably scattered in some trash heap nearby, there was no time to find it. The rival gang had ambushed him after his excommunication from the Lost Souls brotherhood. His former brothers had figured out he was a psion and kicked him out. Normally this involved a one way trip down to the gully, but Allen had been a respected and long term member of the club. The throaty rumble of the choppers indicated the Sons of Diablo had found where his bike scattered. He had little time to find a way out. He drew his knife and cut the gas line on his bike. A nearby sewer entrance was his only salvation. Limping towards the open sewer hole he counted his cards lucky as the lid wasn't so heavy that it required two hands. Like something out of a movie the Sons of Diablo clustered around his bike, and Allen poltergeisted his match over to the gas line, it lit and sent them to their namesake father.
