what came out first, the halo books or the halo games?
i've only played the games but i've wanted to read the books as well. but does anyone which came first, cuz i havent gotten to read the books yet.

I know a lot of people mess this up, but the first half of fall of reach happened before any of the other books. Fall of reach is just a book that if you are getting into the series should definitely read first.

Halo: CE came out; following it came three Halo books. Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo: The Flood, and Halo: First Strike. Halo 2 was released, and then Ghosts of Onyx was released, and then Contact Harvest was released; Halo 3 was released and then finally The Cole Protocol was released. I may be wrong on the Contact Harvest one though. Can't remember when it came out.

So it's hard to really give this a designation.) The games came out first, but some of the books covered events that happened before Halo 1.
