Xur 10/23 exotic chest engram only giving crest of alpha lupi
planet destiny got 3 in a row, i got 3 in a row, and my friend got 3 in a row. you tell me that is not messed up there is something definitely wrong here.

Loot is -blam!-ed up. Of 8 special exotic engrams, got 4 hereafters (sucks), 3 invectives and one Telesto. Buyed chest engram from Xur, titan alpha lupi. I miss re-roll on legendaries. We could create guns we like moreor less, not hoping for good rng drop.

There is some exotic armour being held back in a similar manner to sleeper simulant and no time to explain. They haven't unlocked the ability for us to loot them normally though some people have the armour from an apparent bug that bungie fixed.

Vault them, try opening with your Warlock, that should change your luck. As to what the other commenter said, it's brutally obvious that yes, many of the new exotics are locked behind a time wall. Also, I had 7 chest engrams ALL become Crest of Alpha Lupi, and it's probably because I opened them on my Titan, like a dumbass, knowing that Crest of Alpha Lupi is the only exotic Titan chest piece right now. The engrams try to match your current class more often than not. As soon as I opened 2 chest engrams on my warlock, got Voidfang Vestments and Heart of Praxic Fire. so I don't think it's a bug, I think you opened too many on a class with too few options.

I bought 10 chest engrams. Of those 10, 7 were titan CoAL, 2 were hunter CoAL, and 1 was Alchemist's Raiment. Previous to these 10, I already had 2-3 and 8+ hunter Y2 titan CoAL from chest engrams. I've had similar fun with special engrams. There's a running joke with the usual guys I play with that it'll decrypt to Hereafter because I've gotten something like 7-8 of those. Seriously Bungie? I thought this nonsense was fixed. I mean, it's cool that we can get exotic engrams to drop. It's cool we have a chance at 310 gear from them. Some of that cool is taken away when it decrypts to something not only that I already have, but something that they regularly seem to decrypt to.

I have a hunter and I only bought 1 chest today. Decrypted to a Warlock Starfire Protocol. Is it just bad RNG today or what?

I was on my warlock, trying to get alchemists reinment but decrypted three hunter alpha lupis in a row.

2 RepliesAny engram you decrypt has a higher chance of being an exotic armor for the class you are decrypting the engram with for example the Crest of Alpha Lupi for the hunter and since as of right now there is only one exotic chest piece for the hunter it is extremely likely you are only going to get that chest piece.

3 RepliesWOW. It's very sad not only seeing the post, but all the comments too. IF YOURE DECRYPTING A CHEST ON YOUR TITAN OR HUNTER IT WILL ONLY BE CREAT OF ALPHA. As this is the only exotic chest available for both classes currently. If you want something different do it on your warlock
