Bungie trying to push in recon?
It seems like now that many more people have recon and it is becoming less special even with halo 3 still out. Bungie seems to be pushing it with the Bungie vs The World Day and the Microsoft Challenge.
It's almost like they want everyone to have it because when out comes ODST everyone with live will have it and games will be based with strictly recon wearers. I rememeber when recon was hard to get with the screenshots let alone any other way.
Bassically I am saying that Bungie is pretty much just trying to hand out recon at this point and by the time ODST comes out I predict at least half the ammount of recon bearers will be doubled and when ODST comes out I would say in weeks the Recon population will double.
How special is Recon if everyone has it?

OP...you...are...the most retarded person ever... I hardly think that all of Halo 3 players will have recon, because Vidmaster: Classic is EXTREMELY hard, and 7 year olds can hardly beat the game on Legendary in co-op, let alone beat it on solo without firing or bullet or throwing grenades. And a lot of people got banned from recon a while ago from that "male" screenshot going around, so that knocks out a lot more people that can qualify. Do some research next time before you post another one of these useless recon threads.

It's like this bungie is playing a normal father within a very wealthy household and the people who want recon armor are the father's children. Children- "Hey dad hey dad hey dad!" Father- "what!" Children- "Can we have some cookies pleaseee." Father- "No not right now!" (Three hours later) Children- "Daddy we want some cookies now!" Father- "I said no you will spoil your dinner!"(Dinner time) Children- "We really want some cookies please please pleaseeeeeee!" Father- "Fine damit! here's your cookies!" Oh sorry I forgot to tell you that the cookies are recon armor but you've probably figured that out by now. I think that bungie giving out recon armor was a good idea in some ways because it gives something for people to look forward to and work for.

even when recon gets as normal as the mark VI, everyone will wear it, so it will actually go from AMAZING to ANNOYING.

i read somewhere that anyone who has recon before ODST comes out and recon goes public, bungie will give all the "before" recon bearers something of a surprise. no idea what it could be though. lets speculate.

It's bungies game, let them do what they want. I could care less that I'll be less special when ODST comes out. I've had recon for a few months now and let me tell you there isn't anything exhilerating about it. The first week was awesome. Yay! Recon on my account! Oh sweet everyone thinks I'm special! Two weeks after that and the armor loses it's touch. Sure it's cool looking but you don't feel like you're on the top of the world or anything.

The recon shoulders are BA no matter how many pep wear em :) and the whole recon things is a HUGE marketing plan... makes more people wanna buy they game... and they did that with the mythic map pack too with halo wars... and i bought halo wars and never play it now!
