Miranda Keyes is a noob!
In the campaign level The Covenant, Miranda Keyes arrives to save Sergeant Johnson from the evil clutches of the diabolical Prophet of Truth. She is armed with two weapons: a Shotgun and a Magnum.
During the cinematic, she attempts to shoot Brutes with the Shotgun from at least ten meters away. As if that isn't noobish enough, when she "dual-wields" the Shotgun and Magnum a moment later, she aims the Shotgun at the Brutes a long way away, and the Magnum at the one right next to her!
Clearly, Miranda Keyes is THE definition of a noob! The next time I fight Brutes, I sure as hell won't try to snipe them with a Shotgun! If only she followed MLG she might have survived...

Y'know, while on on the topic of Miranda's death, does anyone know why she went in alone? Seems kinda dumb for her to attempt a rescue without any backup or support. Who knows, if she had a few ODST with her on that Pelican they could have killed Truth before the Flood even got to him?!

It wasn't her fault she couldn't hit the brutes. She doesn't have a helmet, therefore no HUD. I'd like to see you kill a roomful of brutes without a cross-hair.

Discuss.[/quote] What she does makes sense, logically. In reality, shotguns have an effective range of up to 300 yards (that's why people hunt with them), and pistols are very inaccurate. Shooting at a target who's ten meters away with a shotgun makes a lot of sense. When dual wielding a shotgun and a pistol, it makes sense to shoot at the more distant one with a shotgun, because the bullet spread will give you a higher chance of success, and considering how inaccurate pistols really are, shooting at the closer one makes sense.
