Because in doing far less dps than anyone else on the team who exactly would you be carrying?

I guess if you are struggling and you need all the help you can get, stick with your touch of malice only raid. We won't judge you for it some players just aren't as good as others.

So if it becomes a hard more requirement then I will go and get it. Until it actually has some use (teams who NEED everyone to have TOM for the normal raid are a joke) I am not inresested in running around for 3 hours in partol for a weapon that I will find less useful than my hung jury.

Run along the outer walls of the mausoleum with hunter using keen scout. Can get it in about 30-40 minutes :). As for the fragments you can locate all of them within an hour following the guides you can find on the forums and youtube

I have the vast majority of the fragments, 40ish I beleive. I just can't be bothered to run around in patrol for a weapon that (currently) is not a requirement for anything. Honestly the 50 weapon parts to buy the frame is the worst thing about the quest. I haven't had 50 weapon parts in 6+ months.

No its not required but without it you don't contribute as much as those with it. its simple maths. deal with it.

Gally was rng, ToM isn't. big difference. The other week I just needed the daughters checkpoint on one character as had got all other rewards. joined a first time group, some with only blue weapons and me and another guy taught them the daughters and oryx. oryx took ages as they hadn't done it before but I stuck with them and helped even though I was getting nothing. that's the kind of player I am. your refusal to acknowledge that ToM users will do more damage than you both to oryx and the daughters is mind boggingly petty.

Edited by Raider TCK: 10/22/2015 1:02:02 PMThe issue is that it's not nessesary for anything so there is no reason to have it - so I am not going to waste my time farming flakes to get it. In all the raid's I have done there have never been any issues in killing the sisters or stunning oryx without TOM users. As that amount of DPS isn't (currently) needed for anything. I would rather use the black spindle and keep my hung jury. If it becomes an actual requirement for hard mode then I'll put in the time, but frankly it's not even worth the weapon parts (which are far more precious than exotic shards of legendary marks at this point to me).

everytime you raid with anyone that does have it you are basically hitching a ride, if you're fine with it then so be it.

ToM also makes oryx stagger much quicker and consistent giving time to clear the adds to ensure safety of orb grabbers. It's not essential but it's better to have it than not. fwiw I only equip it for daughters and oryx.

I have never once had an issue staggering Oryx with entire teams without the TOM. If its a requirement for hard mode. I'll spend some time and get it. It's currently not a requirement at all, so I wont waste my time.

No gun is a requirement but I like to be as helpful as I can be to my team. I think ToM is OP in normal raid I expect it to be almost essential for hard mode.

Then again, as I said, if you are struggling to do it, have bad team mates or are carrying, then I am sure it comes in useful.

We run the raid usually 3 times on a Wednesday night. We didn't this week cos we did vog and crota as well for the lols. so no we don't struggle. its funny because I bet most of the time when you raid 1 or 2 ppl will have ToM making it easier for you.

Nope. Feel free to check my raid stats. Sure I will get the weapon eventually when I have run out of things to do in the game, but I only play 5 hours at most a week and I am not prepared to spend all that time running around for parts. Kings fall just is not challanging with any semblence of cordination. And I am not about to waste the weapon parts (that I don't have) to buy the frame needed to get a weapon that is only slightly useful at daughters and oryx.

Well after 15 times doing it I really would have thought you would know it well enough by now to know that you don't need a certain weapon. I play 5ish hours a week, I am not going to waste a weeks worth of time for me on a weapon I would rairly ever use. After the 1st raid, the raid and you know what your doing, the raid is easy. I am not going to waste time on a weapon that only gives you the most minute advantage for very specific sections of the raid.

so in the last raid on your stats you had the 2nd least kills and 3 of your raid team used touch of malice. You also had the lowest k/d. scrub

If you do raids then you know that those firing at the boss, aren't going to have the higest amopunt of kills as they are you know, focusing on the boss. Also KDR will be shit simply because of the jumping Puzzle. Never can get used to hunter jumps. Get a life. Seriously, you have well over 3x the time I have played in destiny, and you call other people a scrub? Seriously? Get a life.
