An 11-year-old Halo fan has accidentally killed himself in an apparent attempt to recreate scenes from the game.
Joshua Nimm had skipped school and was apparently playing Halo before using the .22 rifle as a prop in a recreation of the game when he apparently shot himself in the head by accident. The gun's magazine had been removed, but there was still a round left in the chamber.
Police and paramedics responded, but the boy was pronounced dead 35 minutes after their arrival. The blame has been placed on weapon control, but this incident will likely provide another argument against violent games.
Posted by: iBacksmack I dont find this a sad story, I find it highly stupid. Now im 14 dont get me wrong I have soul but put it this way. Fan? no more like Fanatic! and where was his parents at the time of the accident but you must be highly stupid to use a real gun to create a scence from the game. Although I think stupid of him I feel for his parents
More like FANBOY
-
Well this sucks. People dying is never a good thing. Parents should take full responsibility for this. They let the kid have access to a loaded gun. (Well not loaded ,but it had a round in the chamber.)
-
I guess maybe he was trying to imitate the spawning. lol
Posted by: jfarag95 Poor kid, he was just out there trying to get noticed like everyone else, except in different ways. I made sure that I 5-starred that video. Bungie should do something for the parents of this child.
Why Its not there fault
-
Are people still saying "Omg how sad" for this kid? If he got shot by someone else, then yea it would be a sad story. But the idiot shot himself, why mourn the passing of someone who wasnt smart enough to even check for a round in the chamber? Heck, he could've hurt or killed someone else. I only wish Darwinism worked as fast as this all the time.

He pointed a guy at the cashier and pulled the trigger. It didn't fire. He decided to find out what went wrong and looked down the barrel and pulled the trigger. It fired that time.
Posted by: AdmiredAcorn Also, you can't blame the game, blame the parents, they shouldn't have bought their 11 year old kid a game that's rated M
Or a gun.
-
Guns don't kill people. Robots with guns kill people
-
That's why kids should have guns, to learn about them. If he had more experience with real guns, he would have known that there would be a bullet still in the chamber. Very Old.

Somehow, i think he was pretending to be the guy in floodgate with the magum, he puts the thing to his head if you watch him. That aside, where the hell did he get a rifle?
-
for all you people feeling sad for him, don't worry its just one less squeaky voice. jk R.I.P.
-
BTW some other fan boy killed himself, not that kid.
-
That's why video games are usually either 12+ or 16/17/18+ Damn elementary school kids shouldn't play halo.

Old. The kid is most certainly not dead and if this keeps up, he'll probably end up telling us himself. I get the feeling this is nothing but a very successful trolling attempt. Thanks for wasting our time, jackass.

Sorry to say, but it's his own fault. Who the hell plays with a real gun to their head?
