Can you guys please do something about all the pathetic children who go into rumble in teams of 3 and boost? All day today I run into groups who are boosting for the first curse. It's sad. And no matter how many people I report, I know it won't make a different because Bungie doesn't punish people.
EDIT: What i've gathered from this post.
A. All the people defending this suck at PvP upon looking at their stats.
B. Since they suck, they have to boost in PvP so they can complete these bounties.
C. The community that prided themselves on HURR DURR I EARNED MY GJALLAHORN no longer has intentions of "earning" anything, they look for easier routes to obtain exotic weapons. i.e. farming exotics. GG.
D. People who suck at PvP will complain about removing PvP exotic quest lines as a simple solution.
E. GG.

1 ReplySimple, should be no fireteams in rumble.

I'm at 56% doing the jolly holiday legit with the last word. Sucks balls but when I get a good connection game with some non pulse rifle wielders I go 2.0kd. I'll get there!
-
They had to have seen this coming when they made a game where you can take a party into a FFA gametype...
-
Well the people who are boosting are probably xurned their stuff anyways, so..
-
So your expecting people who main OvEr to do ridiculous pvp quests. That on par with asking a pvp only player to complete kings fall in under 2 hours
-
5 RepliesPeople have a right to do this. Not everyone likes pvp shoved down their throats.

Yes, people who suck at PvP will complain. And we have a right to. Imagine if you sucked at RTS or platforming and there were many sweet Exotic weapons you wanted but had to do those activities (that you aren't good at and therefore hate and make you feel bad about yourself when you have to do them) for hours to get them. I've been teabagged so much my breath smells like Earl Grey. And I am a threat to NO ONE in PvP. There's no glory in defeating me; it's like pushing a kid in a wheelchair down some stairs. And at 42, I'm never going to get any better. So just put one in my head and run on, let me get my marks or my 1-2 accidental/opportunistic kills per match so I can make a little sliver of progress and we'll call it even, yeah?

I boosted for the exotic sword

1 ReplyTo be honest it means easy wins in rumble, people trying to run at you with a hilt - good luck with that.... People stilling stationary in the SAME corner of the map waiting for their friend - easy kills....
-
1 ReplyI was thinking about this and started wondering if the alternative is really what you want either. If people boost, they ruin a single game of rumble (and, actually, for first curse it's only 7 kills, so it doesn't even necessarily ruin the match). If people don't boost, then they will wind up feeding opponents in multiple games because they're not good at PvP. So, they can either boost for one match and then leave, or they can stick around and be crummy opponents for many matches.

I suck at pvp and boost to get those quests done. If rather spend my time doing the PVE parts which i find fun then struggle in pvp.
-
People have been boosting in rumble for over a year. If Bungie cared, they'd have done something about it.
-
It's easy wins, take them when you get them

F. I suck at thinking critically and tactically that I can't take advantage of the easy prey/free targets so I resort to bitching on the forums about a non-issue like a pathetic child.
-
Lol, did that two weeks ago. Everyone is behind info the first curse
-
1 ReplyHonestly I've no issues with them boosting each other. Doesn't harm me. Now it's the people who go into rumble together and don't kill each other and instead team up against everyone else that are annoying. But eh. That's why I stopped playing it in halo.

Edited by Brother Noomsi: 10/22/2015 9:25:01 PMI hate PvP in destiny. I love it in other games like halo. I just think destiny PvP is crap so I don't like doing it. When the time comes I'll boost it. I hate having to do PvP to get exotics. Especially when whether you're good at PvP or not in this game is decided by your connection.
-
1 ReplySolution: Create two quest lines for each exotic. A PvP quest line and a PvE quest line. I do find it interesting that PvP players aren't complaining too much about people who hate PvP only playing to get legendary marks. Loving those free kills aren't you? But if 3 people go off and help each other complete a quest, denying you free kills because they aren't running right into your cross hairs, it's a crime against humanity.

Whats The First Curse bounty called?
-
1 ReplyComing from someone who plays rumble a lot, I couldn't agree more.
-
Funny is, I did that whole bounty myself... No boosting.... I did it in control xD.
-
OP is completely right. Bump and get these kids removed
-
Haha I legit reported my friends for doing it earlier. But it was more part of the ridicule process for boosting in the first place. I don't care if others are doing it. I'll do it legit, and know I did it legit, nothing else matters. It's not like the weapons is any good anyways from what I've seen. Not my type of Handcannon anyway.

Im pretty average at pvp. Maybe below average...But I did the first curse quest line without boosting. That said if people feel the need to boost because they don't play pvp let em. It doesn't hurt anyone, they aren't going to all of a sudden start to pvp and become MLG pros. They just want to fill out their collection, the important thing here is you as a player worked for something. If others take the easier path let em, your own choices should define your experience.

Meh. I just got the first part of the quest yesterday. I don't think that gun is even worth the effort.
