Sleeper Simulant isn't really "hard" to get, it's just annoying to jump through all the hoops and wait for the starting mission to be available again. The rest is really just waiting for a Mars warsat event and then running matchmaking on the final mission until you wind up with a defender titan so you can get past the warsat.
