Am I the only one who thought the Iron Banner drop rates were alright?
I played for a couple of hours a day Tuesday - Friday, then hit rank 5 on my first match Saturday morning then blasted for a fair chunk on Saturday afternoon. During this time I had 2 cloaks, 2 sidearms, 1 set of boots and 1 pulse drop for me (admittedly this had a shitty roll so I infused it into the one Saladin was selling). I also saw a fair amount of other drops (about 90% of these were more class items) but still around one every 4 or 5 games I played in.
I know loads of people are complaining about the RNG drops in this round of IB, and a few of the guys I regularly play with got sod all apart form the cloak/mark/bond, but surely there are other people that god some decent swag from this right?

Drop rates were God awful.

Hit rank 5 Sunday, played till reset. The sidearm was the only legendary I received the ENTIRE TIME.

I grinded quite a bit or iron banner and got 5 pulse rifles 2 sidearm 3 cloaks 2 pairs of boots and 2 marks but for the amount of time I did it the drop rate's seemed like it was 1 every 4 hour's of play and the rng should definitely been better but what made it a little more frustrating was you could only get what he was selling

I played through rank 0 to 5, throughout the reward screen I saw aprox 6-7 epics in the entire time across the team. It was so disappointing.

They was terribly low, even the regular crucible purples didn't drop. If it wasn't for that pulse and wolf cloak I would have given up.

I guess you just got really lucky. I played Iron Banner for a few hours every day last week and I only got 2 side arm drops and saw maybe a total of 10 drops from other people.

You are in a very small minority if you think the drops were alright. But I would still say your drops were low.

They were lower than the previous events. All I got was the mark, the pulse, and the boots after playing all week and reach rank 5. In previous events I had lots of guns and a ship.

3 characters all at rank 5, got the ship & the pulse on Tuesday 2 hours before reset. I had been playing since the previous Tuesday at least 10 games a day & recieved 6 class items as my only rewards until a few hours before iron banner was gone.

The cloak dropped for me at rank two. Nothing else dropped for me after that...even after ranking up to rank five.

My whole team got everything, only had to buy boots and my mates bought one or two things across the 6 of us. Most prolific iron banner I've had so far

I got everything except boots and only got 1 character to rank 5 then stopped seemed fine to me

1 ReplyYou are not the only one who feels the drops were fine. I received so much gear that it will take me a few days to assess the impact and next steps. I have 3 IB pulse rifles, for example. I played all characters and reached Rank 5 on them. Months ago I learned that to be successful in IB and receive lots of drops you must begin playing the event on the first day and balance your play in IB with other activities within the game. By using this method I have always received a lot of gear.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but it seemed reasonable to me. By Sunday or Monday I hit rank 5. Along the way I think I scored: - 2 Warlock bonds at 294 & 300 - a nirwen's at 293 with a meh set of perks - And I think a legendary helmet or class engram - And a smattering of blues of little consequence No idea if that's better than average or not. I'm not very impressed with nirwen's so I'll probably stick with my scout rifle.

1 ReplyReached rank five on all three characters, got the hunter cloak to drop. Had to buy everything else i wanted. At least the weekly IB bounties gave marks or i wouldn't have been able to get anything

The IB drops were awesome for me! I must have gotten 5-7 cloaks, boots, pulse rifle, and sidearm (one of the which I bought so I have 2). It was a great Iron Banner. Oh and I got the new Iron Banner ship (new one).
