The Chaperone quest too hard for some?
Just finished the entire questline. Waiting for reset. Thanks for all of your suggestions

If I didn't have to use last word, probably wouldn't be an issue. But I have never liked it, even when I first got it.

Just annoying I'd recommend doing it a mayhem mode.

I had trouble with it at first too, and I put it by the wayside for a few weeks. Then again, I was always a shotgun scrub in year one. However, once I finally started learning to snipe the bounty became infinitely easier. You get more points for headshot kills and streaks, so I started knocking it out in 30+ point chunks when I was on a good sniper map like pantheon or widow's court, though I would still lose points every time I played frontier which seemed like it was rotating every other game. Anyway man, yeah, it's harder for some to obtain than others, but it'll be that much sweeter once you do get it. Good Luck.

It's a cool weapon that I want to play around with. I could see myself switching between that and a legendary pulse and my no time to explain and party crasher. Your not going to win in close quarters against a normal Shotgun but if you get the jump or there is a longer straight away you will win 100% of the time. Now the quest itself is hard. If you normally average a 1.0 kd it's going to be a rough time for you. However I went on a 20 kill streak in a match and covered well over half of what I needed.

It's not hard if you know how to b8 people and play defensively.

2 RepliesDo it the easy way. When heavy or super is up equip your tlw, get 5, 6 kills in a row. When heavy is gone or super is gone, unequipe tlw. Should take you about 6 matches to finish. And do it on rift for easy kills just camp the rift location.

Edited by Chucckn: 10/23/2015 1:21:17 AMI just haven't bothered working on it. Every review on it says it's "meh" so-so at best. Certainly not worth taking up an exotic slot. All the reviews I've seen says its out done by a lot of legendary shotguns. I'll probably do it someday just to say I've done it though.

I just don't understand it. Played the first game terribly with a .8 kd, and got to 14%. Next game got a little better, finished with a 1.7 kd. Back down to 0% yes I kept it equipped, never switched my load out from one game to the next.

1 ReplyI got the quest done first week, and if you don't count waiting till reset, I finished it in one day. And I am by no means an elite player. Bungie finally stops handing guns out, and everyone expects it to be super easy.

Not everything has to be beatable by everyone, it can be nice to have a badge of honour every now and then that isn't easy to get, all the content is beatable you jut need to work for it. With regards to the chaperone if people are struggling then they can just switch weapons and only use the last word when you have heavy or a super, you'll get up there slowly but surely.

Considering that you can equip the last word right before a match win to get some rep (4% per win), no it is not hard.

I was at 5% threw 3 games. Then I got a slayer and 2 triple kills with stormcaller and got it done. I got lucky.
