The Chaperone quest too hard for some?
Just finished the entire questline. Waiting for reset. Thanks for all of your suggestions

I rarely play crucible when Tkk came out and I got the quest saw 100 kills with a nerf TlW was like no thanks, but last night was like yolo and I proceeded to complete the whole quest in 2 hours. I played rift and camped near the spark went on 10 kill streaks it helped a lot. Now just waiting for weekly reset.

8 RepliesIs there anyway to get the quest without The Last Word? I feel it's unfair for people to be withheld from an exotic if RNG has been cruel and not given them a specific other exotic.

In one lucky match I used hammers killed 5 than got two shotgun kills right after and that was like 35% of the quest. Another challenge that is harder than the pvp is getting others to do the strike with. Took 3 days of asking for help on different forums befor I got help. I did it with 3 we all had mics and coordinated who had void arc and certain elements to take down certain mobs. I could see how the strike could stump a LOT OF PEOPLE. It would take an entire clip of last stars scout rifle strike weapon to just drop a single psion lackeys sheild so I could actually do damage. Now I'm waiting for arms day to get shotgun and I've heard it's not that good........... After a strike that makes nightfalls look easy and that pvp hell its a sad thing the weapon doesn't live up to the trial to get it. I am still excited to give it a go ; )

Mayhem, thankfully you don't need to just score kills with the TLW you can kill anyone with anything you can use.

You don't need to get kills with last word for those who don't know. Try. Mayhem might be easier.

The first part was easy you just have to know how to use the last word correctly and if you are a year one player well then you should know how to use it well unless you didn't use it during year one

I'm top 1 % in crucible in some game modes so I'm pretty good so it was easy

Tbh if you swapped the conspiracy theory with chaperone then it would be worth effort but although chaperone is amazing conspiracy which is handed over with perfect roll is still better

The quest itself Pretty much piece of cake ! I hated crucible ...freaking awesome now If u don't want the exotics thru crucible Don't pick up the quests! I'm a collector!

Anything that requires me to waste time in Crucible alone is immediately signed off as "Not worth the effort"

Couldn't get past 30% so i just equipped the last word when I had heavy and a super and radar was clear. Took about 15 games

7 RepliesShould Be Easy: 1) Play crucible till you earn super. 2) Equip last word. 3) Pop super. 4) Kill as many guardians as possible. 5) Don't die. 6) Un-equip last word. 7) Rinse. 8) Repeat. Can anyone confirm if this works???

It's all about killstreaks: Body-shot-kill with The Last Word: 1% Headshot-kill: 2% Kills with special or heavy weapons does not earn %! Kill streaks or double kills while the Last word is equipped does. Double kill: ~5% 5-kill streak: ~10% 10-kill streak: ~20% 15-kill streak: ~30% 25-kill streak: Will complete the quest Win a game while the Last word is equipped: 3% Death: -2%

Initially I had the worst time with this quest because I truly suck at using hand canons. I'm not great at using anything short of an AR really, but playing only mayhem matches and equipping TLW at the end of the match did the trick nicely. Course its not doing it in the spirit it was intended, but the real oddity is that you suffer for ages with a hand cannon to get a shotgun. Still, just waiting for reset to get the prize now, as shotguns make up for my general lack of skill up close ;)

Go to mayhem and just have it equipped and every kill will count even with your supers ,
