Nightfall Reward Changes Tomorrow
Tomorrow morning, a new patch is going live that will include changes to Nightfall rewards. In order to benefit from these new changes please refrain from playing the Nightfall until after the patch goes live.
As usual, we will try to deploy around 10am PST. These won't be the only changes. Stay tuned here on Bnet, or on our [url=https://twitter.com/Bungie/]Twitter[/url] for more updates.

They didn't change for me. I received a cloak for the 3rd straight week. And it was 290. I hate this game.

I got a 310 exotic chest and a 306 legendary primary! I'm thankful for this drop because I can FINALLY infuse one of my primaries and make it stronger and my chest needed a buff

I'm interested in doing nightfall again!Just did one with my bros and got a 310 Monte carlo,I already had one so I used it to up my jury to a 310 but still a reward I was happy to get....good job destiny :)

Cozmo, what made the NF bearable in Y1 was less about the rewards and more about the faction Rep, marks and XP buff. We all have a story or two about crap rewards with Y1 NF - ascendant shards, same exotic every other week, [i]more [/i]strange coins...but man, that XP buff for the [i]whole [/i]week, 500 Rep and 25 marks. This made it worth it.

FYI. Rewards are still crap. Not sure why I need a 295 ghost shell but I am sure your developers have solid,well thought out logic behind their decision.

3 RepliesNightfalls should be the primary source for rng exotic drops, not random loot chests or incredibly nerfed 3oC which nobody will explain how to properly use. Most players get 0 value out a legendary or ghost shell that comes in below 300. Was really hoping that the patch notes would outline how the nightfall was going back to the non-checkpoint style but where exotic drops would be increased to 60%. And perhaps a coding mechanism which would detect light level and drop legendary gear appropriate to the players current light level. Getting a 280 legendary hand cannon is not a reward. The community is smart enough to communicate and identify the most sought after legendary weapons and the trick is to then figure out how to maximize the light level on your desired load out. A drop for a weapon you don't want is almost a given and without a code to ensure the drop is light level appropriate for the user then it isn't even going to be useful as a source of infusing more preferred gear. Ghost shells? Again if it isn't appropriate for the user then it shouldn't drop. Just don't see how anybody is excited with these updates. They nerf the 3oC into the ground and ambiguously describe how to use them and hint at potential buffs and stack but also warn of cool down effect but most users have no idea how they work still. Seems after the patch I can run endless 26 strikes and walk away with a drop rate of like 1-8 at best.... Not sure if I shouldn't be popping the next doing until 15 minutes after I've killed the previous ultra or should I be waiting 15 minutes from when I popped the last coin? If I log off and on periodically (taking breaks between gaiming sessions) thinking that will surely eliminate any chance I waste a coin during a cool down period am I also killing any staking buff? The turnaround time between DLC content is quick enough that the only users running out of content are the hardcore grinders. Between the exotic sword quests, the ToM, the raid, all the new quest lines, the nightfalls, the dailies, etc there shouldn't need to be a restriction on the in-game economy to make tedious tasks this hard. The emphasis has been on decreasing the buying power when Xur arrives, the exotic drop rates or 3oC is down, nightfall drops are going to be even more vendor legendary crap...just can't believe the patch notes weren't showing us an improvement in potential rewards!

4 RepliesI've put a lot of time into this game and let me tell you. The way you've ruined this game with the release of TTK I couldn't be more excited for next month and the release of Fallout and Battlefront. I imagine most of your loyal player base will leave after next month and never come back
