This is how it is. People with high K/D have a lot of time in crucible. Even me I have way more time in crucible than PvE. So people with a huge amount of pvp time hate it when someone with not as much experience says something is op. It's kind of like you have the most raid completions in destiny and always run it flawless and a guy with 2 raid completions tries to tell you how to do the raid. It just doesn't work, and it annoys you.
If someone with a medal score under 300k tries to say something about crucible I automatically think they're opinion is invalid just because they don't have enough time in crucible to know how it works. K/D doesn't matter for opinions in my eyes. It's medal score because it's a direct representation of time spent in crucible.
But that's just me..

This is kind of ignorant...I'm not insulting you or name calling or anything. Most everyone that plays destiny is no stranger to FPS games and have been playing them for a long time.( I'm excluding children from this statement obviously) My medal score sucks, my kd isn't horrid, it's positive at least lol (1.3 and 1.1 on the two I play pvp on) But that's in THIS game, and i dont really play too much pvp on destiny because the pvp is just sooo fcuked up lol My kd in black ops was 2.6 My kd on bf2/bf3 was 2.8 Half life was 3+ I was like top 250 in bf bad company in kills/dog tags/score..... the point I'm trying to make is that, yeah my medal score is low, my kd isn't that great on destiny, but that doesn't make my opinion invalid on what works or doesn't work or what is or isn't overpowered on a PvP FPS. I get where youre coming from on why it pisses you off though, but it's not as easy as writing someone's opinion off just based on score.

And I see where you are coming from, and I can see how what I said would get you mad, but honestly how many people are their in destiny in your exact same situation? Not many. I doubt that all players in the top 250 with you came here and decided not to play too much pvp because it was unbalanced. Your and exception, but I still believe you need a decent amount of time in crucible to have an opinion. This isn't battlefield or CoD. It's a different type of FPS, with different type of abilities. So you can't directly compare it to those other games.

My biggest gripe about it is that everyone is so quick to just shut down everyone elses opinions on the forums over the most arbitrary shit sometimes lol Like, idgaf what my grimore score is resting at lol Some people though, they're opinions really are invalid lol If your 8-12 go away lol

You ever think that maybe someone who doesn't have as much "experience" in the crucible has been playing video games for 15 years and still has quite a lot to bring to the table in terms of knowledge with weapon balance, and strategy? Just because you don't specialize in one game, doesn't mean you don't know anything about games as a whole.

Yes, but destiny is a different type of FPS, you can't just balance it like a CoD because their is many different factors that don't relate in each game.

Do you know how many "different types of fps" someone who has been gaming for 15-20 years has seen? Its not all call of duty.

Wouldn't it be more productive to educate them since they are so inexperienced rather than simply dismiss them with a "your k/d sucks?" I mean that's what most people do when it newcomers join a raid...

I try, anyone who has ever asked for pvp advice I automatically refer them to "true vanguard" on YouTube. That's how I got better, but if they're not willing to look on YouTube and practice why should I take them serious.

What if they had double your games won (across the board, or in your favorite match type), but still had a lower k/d than you? Are you going to ignore their opinion? Or are you going to ignore it only when it runs counter to yours, like most of the threads. I've never seen a post that said "oh, you agree with me but your opinion is invalid because your k/d suck!"

Well I doubt they would have double the wins if they had a .5 K/D unless they were carried by a very good player, but even then their opinion is invalid because the wins weren't because of him.

Exactly medal score is a better representation in my opinion. I may have a 1.0 what ever kd but when I play skirmish I usually average 2.0+ not to mention my stats to begin with were terrible which is a uphill battle to bring them up to 2.0

I had a .9 for the longest time. I'm at 1.4 now I believe. Keep working on it man.

I'm like I'm sure you could loser, checked his stats and all he plays is pvp and skirmish at that. It's pretty easy to have a higher kd when it's 3 people trying to kill you as opposed to six

And that's totally fine, I play pvp for marks or when I'm bored of pve... Helping my friends cheese dropped me under 1.0 but it really doesn't matter to me. The last thing I do is check someone's stats... Unless they come at me first but evenstill it's not worth my time. I really couldn't care what they do in the game and I think it's pathetic that that's the first thing people do... "Ooooh let me check his stats so I can tell him he has a shit kd" lol kids these days.
