Before I watch, let me guess...
The major mechanics are skipped such as the relic running, therefore there is no immunity shield. So at least one of them must be a Warlock to self res and clean up the mess after DPSing Oryx?

EDIT 2: I went to Youtube and searched this video directly and I guessed right. However I will give them credit where it is due. I've seen 6 man fireteams struggle to stagger Oryx and barely make a dent on the Echo's health.
EDIT 3: Good Strategy for teams who won't grow a pair and are too scared to run Relic.
EDIT 4: Reworded some previous edits, because people were taking it the wrong way. I wasn't saying the guys who two manned this didnt have confidence running relic, I was talking for groups in general particular random groups from LFG. Whenever someone asks who wants to be relic runner an awkward silence usually ensues until I volunteer. This would be a nice strategy for groups who struggle or hate running relic. Obviously, the strat would need to be expanded upon depending on how many are in the firteam. Also, did I say it was a cheese? Nope.

You guys making this seem easy cracks me up. A team full of 6 warlocks not running Relic, that's a different story and unnecessary.. But two guys being able to do this? Come on now...

Did I say it was easy? I just guessed what they did prior to watching the video. Oh, I wasn't saying that the guys who two manned it lacked confidence to run relic, i said it would be a good strategy for other teams with people who are not so confident. Ever join random groups for a Raid and hear that awkward silence when someone asks who wants to be runner.

I think the stigma with relic running is that you have the success of the encounter (at least a good chunk of it) squarely on your back. That can be very intimidating in random groups, where you don't know how people will react, if you'll be yelled at or booted for messing up, etc.

You do know that missing the platform towards the latter stages of a given running sequence will end up being a wipe because it will be too late to run back and restart. I guess nobody wants to have that burden of being the one who caused the wipe.

From what I have observed in my few Raid runs so far is that not too many are confident at the platforming sequence or simply just don't like the burden of being [b]THE[/b] guy to retrieve the most important part of the sequence. Usually when I run with randoms there's awkward silence or hesitant yeses/mumbles when someone asks who wants to be the runner on Oryx. I purposely wait to see if there is any reaction until I volunteer as I relish and enjoy that kind of stuff. You sound like a guy who runs Relic too, so it sounds like it was never a problem in your Raid runs. Others though... I have seen people purposely kill themselves on Daughters when they got torn so it could be passed on to someone else.

Runner is the guy who can jump, but can't dps ogres, or stay alive with bombs. When I play, weakest player runs relic. You sur, are an idiot.

Strongest in my fireteam runs relic because he normally has Touch of Malice and doesnt have to stop shooting oryx.

We normally do as well. I most of the time end up with relic running. (My raid group mostly hates it so they only do it at deathsingers.) Lol

They are extremely confident with platforming. It would be impossible to use the platforms with 3 or less people.

Much easier to do with the relic. The relic provides far too many benefits to ignore it if you are able to get it (at least a 4 man fireteam). Killing the knight to stop him defusing bombs and grants immunity to damage. Getting the relic makes the fight easier, not harder.
