How are people suppose to get experience when no one wants to help people out? Its like job hunting... "we want people but you need experience which we are not gonna give you"
Year one was good... everyone was willing to help there fellow man out... now its just full of selfish people.
Edit: Since posting this i have discovered that not all people asshats... so im not labeling the whole destiny community... just the elitist that forgot that everyone started somewhere.
Thank you to those that helped me through the raid tonight and those that offered afterwards... now that i have a bit of experience i would be glad to offer help to those in need of it..
Xbox one Gt same as above... the O in roy is a zero feel free to add me.
Edit Edit: yes i have looked at videos... no i didnt expect to be carried. Yes i know about lfg. Yes i have a raiding party already who are unfortunatley away atm.
Save yourself the trouble of repeating what many other people have already stated.

Yeah! We should all sit in the tower singing kumbaya while jerking each other off!
-
Been like that since day 1 - people in destiny suck dick. The sooner you realize that the better off you will be

When it comes to strikes, be 290+ experienced, nightfall depends. With every team I play I show fragments
-
Edited by Brettcookie40: 10/20/2015 10:21:12 AMI was doing the dark blade strike and this one random guy in my fire team started shooting at me and I'm like what are you doing, so I followed him and he led me to all the calcified fragments in the strike. I was like, what are thooooose. He was very helpful
-
Add me. I'm not incredible, but I'm pretty good, I'll help anyone. PS4
-
We have a team of 5.....we usually pick up a random....no requirements.....we just carry if they need it....or help someone who is helping us....but will kick anyone we pick up if they talk a lot but are annoying and/or a kid.....just can't stand it....it's ok to be a kid....but if you talk a lot....you get booted....
-
I help people, even if they are 3 levels below.
-
My clan and I help anyone we can we don't request you to have a certain light level if you're able to get in the raid we help doesn't matter.
-
I only wanted experienced people for the raid so I myself could complete it. Now that I'm officially a "raider", I can start helping out other people, which I hopefully will get a chance to do someday. For the most part though, yeah, I know what you mean. Getting those experienced players was kind of tough, and I got really lucky. Sucks being a newbie :/
-
Give it some time, once people get the raid gear they need they'll probably be more willing to help when its for raid gear they just want
-
1 ReplyGood job. You can raid with me now (after you get touch of malice obviously)
-
Build your own team you can't be mad at people that did the raid the 1st week spent hours learning the raid now weeks later they want to finish the raid quickly they are actually building a team they can ask for whatever they want
-
1 ReplyIt's because people are worn out. People wouldn't want to work if their only pay was a smile on their boss's face
-
First time looking for a raid group for ttk? Post on lfg "297 Titan, have numerous completions and experience"
-
Anybody needs help on Xbox one hit me up! GT is MistR GoSH I'll play anything and doing mind doing whatever. Day one player with lots of xp. Good luck guardians.
-
Edited by Itachi: 10/20/2015 3:16:22 AMThe problem is that nobody knows how to fend for themselves so they cry HALP ME. Cand get an inv to raid......BUILD YOUR OWN. People ask for experienced people only.....build your own raid and get experience your damn self. I help those who help themselves.
-
Anytime anyone needs help send me friend request,we got 4 or 5 people I usually raid with.we always need 1 or 2 guys so if anyone hasn't done it before we would be more than happy to teach
-
2 RepliesIt was the same way when VoG dropped. Not so much for Crota because it was such a joke. Just keep trying and you'll find a good team. I've been in your shoes, there's a bunch a d-bags who treat this game like a 2nd job.
-
Yeah just wait for hard. Casuals won't be able to do it until next year and by then it'll be obsolete because bungie logic states that there can only be one endgame mode at a time god for -blam!-in bid!
-
PSN: Drasis PS4 If I'm on and you can type legible, I'll help. Please no non-military acronyms. I have no idea what civilian acronyms mean.
-
I've had the opposite experience here... went on lfg to do my first raid 2 weeks ago... told them straight off that it was my first time running it but I'd watched streams of it... they ran me through it no problem.. last week I ran with another group... told them I sucked at the jumping puzzle which I did and they had no problem with it either... best advice I can give is don't join the assholes that post must be this or have this... much more enjoyable first few times because of it
-
Helping is one thing, but it gets to the point where you just don't want to anymore. Sadly many people can't follow simple directions, expect to be carried, don't come prepared for the raid, play while constantly distracted, etc...I don't mind helping sometimes, helped a few friends of a friend do their first raid the other night and it went well, ended up finishing it in about 90 minutes.

Edited by frankhail306: 10/20/2015 2:14:15 AMUnfortunately I'm still trying to kill oryx but not even lfg is going to well for me :/ I'm on 360 so I guess that's why I have shitty luck
-
Not true bro, I just spent 3hrs in oryx this morning with some over seas noobs who needed to learn the ropes and they were not exactly gun surgeons. That took time and patience along with a willingness to help and teach. Now admittedly, I wouldn't have been the same character if it was later in the week and I was trying to get shiz done, fast. My point is that even some of the guys you think are dicks actually spend a lot of their time helping others and its quite possible for you to have interacted with them when they were in serious mode. I do agree with you that there are a lot of dicks in this community, but theres also some good helpful people too.
-
I think that's the problem with the people who play destiny,(at least most of them)
-
The elitists were there in year one and will continue to be there through and through. They're just not talented enough to take someone with less experience through. Which to me shows how they're actually not elite.
