How are people suppose to get experience when no one wants to help people out? Its like job hunting... "we want people but you need experience which we are not gonna give you"
Year one was good... everyone was willing to help there fellow man out... now its just full of selfish people.
Edit: Since posting this i have discovered that not all people asshats... so im not labeling the whole destiny community... just the elitist that forgot that everyone started somewhere.
Thank you to those that helped me through the raid tonight and those that offered afterwards... now that i have a bit of experience i would be glad to offer help to those in need of it..
Xbox one Gt same as above... the O in roy is a zero feel free to add me.
Edit Edit: yes i have looked at videos... no i didnt expect to be carried. Yes i know about lfg. Yes i have a raiding party already who are unfortunatley away atm.
Save yourself the trouble of repeating what many other people have already stated.

I see people doing this a lot. It's kind of sad cause I run the raid several times after I've already completed it for loot to teach people how to complete it themselves. It's not that hard, and doesn't take that long. Everyone started without knowing anything about the raid. It seems people forget this from time to time.
-
If anyone is on ps4 i thoroughly love the raid and is willing to help anyone feel free to add and in friend request just put raid help
-
That's a problem with humanity in general anymore, nothing to do with Destiny really.
-
4 RepliesThere's millions of ppl on Destiny. If u helped every time some one ask, you would never be able to do anything ur self. Bungie needs boards in the tower, so u can check what activity your needing to do. Then everyone doing that activity could join.
-
I'm always willing to help. I legitimately just enjoy playing the game. GT same as here
-
The best way to get to 290 is by court of oryx ;)
-
Or, you know, we could just matchmake activities
-
1 ReplyMy issue is the lack of players possessing enough intelligence to plug a keyboard into their console so they can type a quick, clear, and concise message explaining what they need, instead of sending me "Randomn00b wants you to play Destiny", or worse, sending a voice message.
-
100% agreed. Im a relatively new player to destiny, bought it cos a friend recomended it ,went out & got the xbox 1 to suit , now im solo on most stuff its getting frustrating & il probably end up boycotting it & going back to skyrim or world of tanks. Where the community support u guys, i know it exists from some of the forums i have read !!!

For real I remember people doing Atheon and so many times they said oh I already done it for the week but I'll help. Now people join do the part they didn't complete before and peace out without a goodbye lol
-
I hate lfg honestly, I have not used it since the beginning of vog. I found my raiding friends on the tower a year ago by just sending invites and now we just raid together. So far since we have beat the raid we have helped about 10 or so people beat the raid for the first time and a few were just below 290 but as long as they don't die and they do damage we don't mind but I can understand why people want some high levels to finish it quick, if you use lfg just make your own group so you don't get any assholes.
-
1 ReplyIt's funny, people I carried through the first 2 raids and skolas don't feel obligated to pay it back.
-
1 ReplyI used to get a lot more public help, I am after the Boolean and stuck on mars as I can't be everywhere and get the zealot fast enough before he runs. Three times I've had one down to almost gone then bye bye. During my fight people just go right on by. Yes I've been on missions too but would it hurt to help?
-
The same people who don't want inexperienced now have been there all along. Year 1 wasn't really that much better. I didn't have a lot of friends playing Destiny and I used LFG for basically everything, and I'm pretty sure helping newbies only started to catch on when the raid vets stopped having fun by themselves. Give it a couple of months, maybe.
-
You already have a raiding party but you're having a cry because they're away..... This guy
-
4 Repliesi cant agree with this statement. I was completely new to the kings fall raid last night and a group of just random guys came together and explained the whole thing to me and even carried me during some portions. But everyone is different. Was very grateful i had a such a good group to help me through it. Really refreshing actually. I think i have only had one instance where someone was as you described and that was during the rasputin strike. Hate to reflect on that so i wont but what a jerk that guy was.

This is every game. Why should I help you if we know the same information. If I did it you can to. This is my mentality

I'd help you understand the concept of not wanting to help anyone, but there's NO TIME TO EXPLAIN! But in all seriousness, I do agree.

Edited by GuTz HD: 10/20/2015 6:18:26 PMEveryday there is a similar post to this one. It's getting old. I've never had an issue with people not wanting to help. If you're a moron / scrub that can't get down the simple mechanics of the various bosses in a few minutes then you deserve to be booted IMO. It's for the greater good. Go watch YouTube videos for 10 hours or however long it take to register.. Lmao.

1 ReplyThink its not that We dont want to help, but More feel guys and gals at our level should not need help. One big problem i have with the leveling system is that fast forward new players since tdb and that is the route of the problem. It could just me, but I think alot of 29ers feels the same. The new guardians are cheated out of the path we had to walk

I help, both, new and old players learn to play destiny and the raid. Learning how to play and beat the raid can be a challenge but it's very teachable. If you are struggling to find people to play with or can't find patient people to help you learn, please drop by my channel. We have a great community that we've been building and would love to have it to continue to grow. Cheers and see you there. Www.twitch.tv/brunodiaz1983 -Bruno

Isn't the problem with Destiny?
-
2 RepliesThat's not a a Destiny issue, that's a people issue. It seems the younger they get the more selfish. If there's one thing BungieVision did to guarantee this as a problem it was dumbing this game down to a teen rating. No offense intended to the good ones out there but go ahead and try to argue with me. There are a large ratio of selfish asshole swimming around in the teen to early 20 side of the pool.
-
1 ReplyI have a full time job, not including my workouts I do daily. As much as I would love to help people as often as they invite me (which I do my best to), my time to help is very limited. Priorities in real life overrule Destiny hands down. I know there are people on here who have kids or work three jobs, who are in the exact same boat. We are all not assholes; some of us don't spend all of our time on our consoles, and when we do hop on destiny, it's to knock out a few bounties, the daily mission, and the daily crucible.

2 RepliesLFG, Recruitment and Clans. You really are trying hard enough.
