For all the people saying "they are cheesing it"
This is not true in any way. Bungie has never actually released a 'set in stone mechanics for oryx' we were told to find a way to beat him- they did that here.
Yes- they didnt even use the relic, aura etc, but who says they have to? If they can deny something that was put into the raid to make it easier for you and they still beat him props for them.
If you are a person who says "ill be impressed when they do it without self res" then im sorry to say but youll never be impressed- the game mechanics will not allow it, its impossible
TL:DR dont be [i]that guy[/i] and rain on someone's parade because they can do something you can't...

Omg don't be that guy. It wasn't intended like that. In the same way aetheon wasn't intended to be shoved off. Give them credit but don't say it's legit. It's still a feat, one most of us won't do. But don't beat around the bush.

Atheon was a cheese because it was taking advantage of a mistake on BUNGIE's part. Until BUNGIE decides to nerf self res it's all fair play. It may not be how BUNGIE intended the raid to be done but it doesn't make it any less legit. They didn't take advantage of any glitches in the game & they didn't manipulate any network connections. They used tools within the game, same tools everyone has access too & same tools given too them by BUNGIE. At the end of the day they still beat oryx & that is the objective of the raid.

Apparently you don't know what you're talking about. BUNGIE clearly had an issue with cheesing Atheon, if self res was such a problem they'd strip our supers for the oryx fight. Even Deej has congratulated these guys. They legit, 2 manned Oryx without cheating so quit bitching & move on.

The only thing I don't like: people that use a mouse and keyboard to play these games. The little circle motion he does when he goes into the menu indicates that's what he's doing. People who seem to be just a little bit better than other good players probably are because they have an advantage. This is a creative and cool solution to competing this raid with less than a full fireteam, but doing it with tools that shouldn't be available on the console lessens the achievement, in my opinion. At least he's not killing people in pvp while using m/k on this video, I guess.

not really an advantage at all. using a M&K on ps4 requires a device that induces a bit of lag

It's definitely an advantage. You can be much more precise and quick with your movements. The "lag" is negligible compared to the advantage they gain by using the mouse. Tell me: if it isn't an advantage why bother doing it? Suggesting it isn't better is ridiculous.

Nailed it - the relic is not a required mechanic of the fight because you don't need it to damage and eventually kill the boss. All it does is make the fight easier by being able to kill the vessel and gain immunity inside of it.
