I DIDN'T WANT A PULSE RIFLE ANYWAY, SALADIN
No, really, it's OK. I ground my way to Rank 5 for the sheer competitive joy of it. The waistcloth I got in return- a full 2 points more powerful than the one I ALREADY BOUGHT from you- was an ample reward, as was the string of blue items, none above 260, that I received along the way. I'll DEFINITELY be back next month for more of this. 3 full days of the Iron Banner, to get basically nothing, when running 6 strikes nets me 3 legendaries and 2 exotics (including my first Zhalo)? Count me in! Truly, this is the Nightfall of PvP: "Only a fool would subject himself to this kind of punishment!"
Seriously- this was THE WORST Iron Banner I've ever seen. In previous tournaments, I had so many weapons drop that I was discarding them just to keep space on my characters and my vault. This time I saw a TOTAL of 1 weapon drop. And, of course, it went to the player who came in last place on my team, with about a 0.3 K/D, and cost us a match we were winning up until the last minute.
EDIT: OK, I can't remove the Satire tag, although it's really more just plain sarcasm, not satire at all. Sorry.

7 RepliesSatire or not, I was grinding matches hoping for a drop before spending my marks on anything and after 10 matches and no drops (btw only two drops occurred out of all matches played and they dropped in one game to other players) I go back to the tower and was locked out.

I got 2 characters to level 5. Saw 1 weapon drop (the sidarm). I got the class item on both characters as a drop tho

It's especially fun when you're sitting on 5 medallions, winning by a lot, and the other team starts doing the hunter glitch just in time to steal the victory. That, and the drops! How did they know I wanted every possible variation of the low-level warlock bond and nothing else?

1 ReplyWhen I got rewards was when I finished first . Once I got a 297 sidearm and the other time I got a 294 cloak. In my opinion it rewarded the people who played well

1 ReplyI got the side arm and class item. I bought pulse and boots. Rank 5 on all three and legendary marks from all three. It was a great iron banner. First one where thorn didn't rule. I really enjoyed. Sorry you didn't.

I got the pulse the game I hit rank 5, 297 attack too. Not that I'll ever use it.

I love Iron Banner, but that was horribly disappointing. I think was rewarded 2 motes of light every time I finished on top of the board. I go to play my one match of shitty old Rift for my daily 15 and what drops across the board, oh just a hawksaw, Red Sceptre and purple engram. That one match bested the rewards for 14 matches of Iron Banner combined.
