What is the point of running nightfall these days? Its the question that drives me. I've concluded there is no spoon, ahem, point. NF pre TTK was a ritual but one I proudly attended weekly. Just to have my head aflame of blue fire of NF glory. It identified me from the pack. It also was a beacon of hope to newbies who would send invites with NF in the message body. Sure, no problem. Its going to take teamwork, patience and we might return to orbit a few times but if you're dedicated, we shall hold glory. The rewards werent bad either. Then TTK happened and I landed on the Cosmodrome to see what Rasputin was up to. Fallen Saber isnt hard, its brutal, just throwing an overwhelming force on you where one mistake by a fireteam member was costly. Lets make this clear, I have no problem with difficult fights. Ive played games where the devs outright cheated you just so you had a hard time winning. My friend and I played The Library on Legendary just for fun. Then played Armored Core for relaxation. But the FS strike just piled poop upon poop upon poop. After beating it, I got 9 strange coins and nothing else. Wait, so I just complete a highly difficult Strike with a very, very tensed King of the Hill intro with a dance-a-thon boss battle, only to get 9 strange coins for an alien whose wares lost its luster?? No thank you. Not even a flaming head or increase XP gain. I dont do NF anymore. I need 300 plus gear, from top to bottom, and yet again, you need to raid to get it. I can bypass NF, getting those strange coins in a week's playtime. My guess? Bungie will change NF again. It missed its mark with this reiteration. Thanks for reading

I feel like the weekly crucible bounties give better rewards than the nightfall.

I've yet to meet someone who hasn't gotten 1 exotic from running the nightfall 3 times I in 1 week

This week so far I got a 280 purple helm that was awful and a 290ish shotgun that was awful Next I'll probably get 5 coins

I've gotten 310 suros 310 hereafter and 310 night hawk... not sure why everyone thinks nightfall is useless
