CommanderCuesta of The Legend Himself and A Death Card did the world for first, and 2 maned Oryx. How in the hell, its crazy.
Just to note I have NOTHING to do with this, just thought I'd share the awesome video!
Edit 1: there has been some confusion on The Legend Himself. This is a clan name it not just sc Slayerage, its a whole group of people who are badass at destiny. Just to clarify.
Exit 2: Glad everyone been able to see so far.
Edit 4: well this community can't handle people being good I guess....
Argue amongst yourselves! Go
Wow 1k replies almost, you guys really like this argument that has come ari. I know my phone battery doesn't appreciate it, but thanks for spreading this vid, its pretty cool.
Apparently the video isn't working for some. Go to The Legend Himself YouTube channel and you'll see it there

Where exactly do you put that accomplishment on a resume.....
-
I don't see all the hate. It's not like they shadowshot over and over. It's legit.
-
I fail to see how self rez is cheesing, it's a super therefore does things out of the ordinary, it's not cheating you still need skill to do what they did. They didn't cheat they used a legitimate mechanic in the game to complete something no one thought was possible. Must be a lot of hunters and Titans about, stop whining just because warlocks have the most useful super in the game that's generally overlooked because it doesn't kill people, get over it.
-
I'm not sure about The Legend Himself clan as a whole. He may of been a fake but I played with one member in IB on 360 and he did God awful, even by my standards. This shit though, pure skill.
-
This is sick. The fact that they were able to think outside the normal parameters of the game mechanics we've established as a community to finish Oryx really is awesome. People can complain about this being cheating so on so forth but the bottom line is they had amazing synchronicity and put most 6 man teams to shame. Game mechanics being broken has been around forever. Look at year one Nightfalls and even some of the year two Nightfalls.
Haters gonna hate
-
They didn't grab the aura that makes you invincible. They cheated so hard!
-
Not impressed with this. Cheesing
-
Damn impressed. To the salty jealous lower skilled people... does it really matter if they skipped the mechanics?? Bungie really never give us details on how to do the raid in the first place. Now i usually bash upon this gamers that does this for bragging rights but damn they do got skills. They 2 manned it. Nuff said.
-
That was awesome!
-
Edited by Peoplops: 10/19/2015 2:46:21 AMThat is impressive and thoroughly pointless. Congratulations, I suppose. With all this talk of people hating Hunters for not playing the way they are intended, I would think that warlocks would get a lot more hate....as they have been abusing their bs ever since release. Bungie thinks it makes more sense to intensify the raid mechanics than to fix self rez mechanic escapes. (Ex. Bridge cp)
-
I give 5 star.. But thats not legit using self revive.. But you are awesome!
-
woow nice cheese you by pass those raid machanics, its not two manning when you skip out large sections of the fight
-
You know what would actually make this difficult? That dickhead invincible knight (forgot his name even though i always run relic lol) actually doing his fūcking job, i mean come on, they didnt even have to worry about him cos he was just running around like a pansy.
-
It's not good they broke the mechanics.
-
So sick of seeing this idiot.
-
And so the warlocks has done it again! Soloed atheon, crota and now oryx.. Where does it end? 😝
-
Holy shit! That was awesome. Mad respect for that guy.
-
Holy crap! Nice one guys! I can't even 6 man it! Well done!
-
I didn't actually do anything wrong. Bungie told us grabbing the orb was correct but I guess they couldn't do that with 2 people so they figured out a way to accomplish the goal. Why is that wrong?
-
All these crazy fanboys..do you accidently stumble across 10+ negative comments you feel obligated to provoke or are you guys keyboard warriors at heart?? I personally am impressed at what they did but jesus christ I haven't taken an oath to protect their name.
-
Pffffft!!! Should be banned for not playing how Bungivision intended it to be played.
-
This isn't a cheese and is a great accomplishment. However it's is still kind of an odd method due to only warlocs being able to achieve this. This is a huge restriction which makes it that people who main Titans/hunters can't compete.

Edited by AAbattery444: 10/19/2015 5:29:32 AMpeople are idiots for saying this is a cheese strategy or illegitimate. it's not. cheese is derived from the word cheat. they did not cheat the raid in any way. self res is a game mechanic. if you're gunna say that using self res is cheese, then don't complain when somebody saves your team in trials or a nightfall by using it. the fact that you can make oryx flinch and prevent him from wiping your whole team is, again, a game mechanic. they only used self res when they killed themselves by using ToM to be able to do enough dps. this is a legit strategy. so what they skipped the relic part? bungie made it so that you can skip it by design. just because you want to skip an unnecessary raid mechanic doesn't make it a cheese strategy. by these people's same logic, discovering the basketball court of oryx was a cheese too. please, just get the hell off the forums with this idiot logic. if anything, this is straight up creativity. also, this method is probably ten times harder to pull off rather than doing it the normal way with six people. become educated.
-
Correction cheesed oryx
-
I love how everyone is all "they skipped half the raid mechanics". Yeah. The invincible part... They made it 100x harder on themselves because they had to have high enough intellect and get both of their supers up that fast. I see no cheese. Its a legit strategy. Just like using self rez in trials. Its a super that was put into the game. If it wasnt meant to be used. It wouldnt be in the game. Butthurt people claiming cheese probably cant finish the raid themselves. I for one think this was rather impressive. They skipped 1 mechanic of like 6. Ooooooo. Bridge was a complete cheese. Despawn minions by getting out of the map? Total cheese. Stacking 2 ogres on top of eachother so you only need 2 people to pop them? Not a cheese. And actually rather smart. Imagine a full team doing that. 4 people blasting into oryx. While 2 popped the bombs. Congrats to them on that. Will bungie do something dumb and say "this is how you have to do it cuz we say". Doubtful but possible

So many haters in this thread. So sad.
