Leaked DeeJ Weekly update. MUST READ
Leaked weekly update by DeeJ.
Here goes:
[b]Nightfall Rewards:[/b]
We noticed in year 1 that players were doing the weekly nightfall strike to get good weapons and XP/Rep bonus. Since this is our hardest strike to complete in the game, we've made a few adjustments:
- We've reduced exotic item drop rates by 700%
- We've increased drop rate of class items 270 defense and below by 900%
- We've removed all sorts of XP and rep bonuses altogether.
[b]Economy:[/b]
We noticed that players were earning crucible and vanguard marks to buy gear that they wanted. We also noticed that strange coins and motes of light were being used way too appropriately. So we made some changes:
- We removed crucible and vanguard marks in favor of Legendary Marks
- Now you can earn unlimited legendary marks per week, however we've removed just about every source of marks from the game.
- For no reason at all, we are reducing the amount of Strange Coins and Motes of Light you will receive.
PvP balance:
We noticed some people are complaining how Sunbreaker is OP and Nightstalker has a game breaking glitch. As a result we're implementing some changes:
- Shotgun range has been decreased by 2%
- Sniper rifles with a mag size of 5 bullets or more, will now have a single bullet that does 2x damage.
- Increased Shank HP by 4%
[b]The Grind:[/b]
We promised that after removing nightfall XP bonuses we would find other ways to lessen the grind. We are completely ignoring this promise and refusing to talk about this issue and hope it goes away.
Also, micro transactions are a thing now. This seemed way more important than continuing to improve the game or deliver on the promises we've made.

18 RepliesSounds about right. They target players that are enjoying the game. "Wow, 310 sniper" nerf. "Wow, an exotic engram" nerf. "Wow, I like this gun" nerf. "Wow, this is a good perk" nerf. Soon they are gonna nerf dancing, unless you paid real life money for it. Any thing that's good or useful gets nerfed. Maybe they should just focus on fixing all bugs on the oryx fight.
