Havent played it in a while so i figured what the hell and tried it out and yea seems bad. Just had a couple matches in a row where everytime i popped blade dance i was killed off almost instantly. Also found out that Stormcaller warlocks Landfall one shots bladedance as well. Didnt know that. So is the general consensus that bladedancer isnt worth using anymore or what?

3 RepliesTo all you sour/salty asswipes, Bladedancer is no where near useless, you're just shit. I get breaker medals almost every time I use bladedancer and Hunter's my worst class. Seriously guys, bladedancer isn't even that hard to use either...
-
I suck with bladedancer never suited my style, now I'm on the crucible quest and after all this time I'm wondering why I never took the time to learn how to use it effectively! Although I think the grenades suck they seem more pre damage opponents than kill them where gunslinger kills and shadow shot blocks areas
-
No. They -blam!- me inside my bubble many times.
-
Bladedancers still are plenty viable.......
-
It's just not your style
-
4 RepliesLol its still my go to super. I use blink so when theyre shooting me i just blink then kill them and regain my health. I got 5 kills from 1 super in the IB. M8 youre just bad nothing has changed from year1 bladedancer to year 2
-
It's not as good as Sith/hammerdin but it's still a good super just have to get close before initiating.
-
When i say useless btw i dont mean completely unplayable by any means. I realize you can still get kills with it but in comparison to the new supers it just seems really lackluster. Stormcaller locks get fist of havoc baked into their already long lasting super as well as blink for the duration. Titans, well everyone knows the nonsense that sunbreakers do atm. And nightstalkers are pretty good all around. Im just saying for the duration of Arc blade and the squishyness of it too it seems like gunslinger and nightstalker are just head and shoulders above it right now and theres no real reason to pick it.
-
Theyve always been useless in pve. But still fine in pvp
-
My favorite Hunter class from year one. I barely use it now
-
It's always been useless
PvE i mean
PvP it's still okay.....for lack of a better term You can still get those crazy kill-feed moments until someone runs around the corner five feet away with a shotgun and you die instantly from the sight
-
I wondered the same thing, decided to try it out for a few matches. First game, went off for 41 kills, on widow's court too. It is still a monster when used correctly. I forgot how beneficial Quickdraw and blink can be, especially for someone who snipes aggressively.
-
The duration is so damn short now its crazy even with the helmet on. I pop my super once maybe in game but skill makes this class unbeatable..
-
1 ReplyI think so I got in a chase-lock scenario 2 times in one game Titan kept jumping and every RB/R1 almost hit him but didn't, just kept getting right next to him, then it ran out and he shotgunned me Piece of shit
-
Last time I used it it was in banner and I was getting some very nice kills. Maybe u woz usin it wronk?
-
They nerfed my favorite class to shit, not even a competitive class anymore. Sorry but i switched to sunbreakers. It was like the pvp meta, if you weren't using thorn or tlw you was not going to do that good. I get more kills on my sunbreaker than my bladedancer now.
-
Terrible in pvp now. Arc. Bolt was nerfed to shit and the shore is still easily counterable. Gunslinger is the best hunter class for pvp
-
Blade dancer beats storm caller if you can get up close enough to to slash but it's not an effective class for anything at the moment. It was so potent during crota raid
-
I think it is now the worst of the 3 subclass for hunters. That is a shame to it used to be top tier for pvp. Still isn't terrible but the nerf to blink hurt it alot
-
PvP - Still great.
-
They complete shitted on the bladedancer, idk what it is but maybe aim assist was lowered during super or something, can't kill crap with the super now, arc bolt barely seems to do any damage at all and don't think raspberry is a year two either. Also blink is not as good so all bladedancer has is weapons ready which is not nearly enough of a perk to keep it competitive. Golden gun might make a comback with some of the exotics but nightstalkers just seems to be the way to go right now, although I do think the super is extremely underwhelming compared to everything else that was brought to the table with year two.
-
Hunter is useless. Except those pew pew debuff to make Titans and warlocks do more damage.
-
Im running bd with my chaperone in IB. Having a blast. Plenty of sneaky fun!
-
13 RepliesOh but they are so op blah blah blah. Says every titan and warlock. it was decent then they nerfed the nade and blink so now it's trash
-
Definitely not worth it

Basically been playing as a bladedancer this week during Iron Banner. Arc bolt, now has even smaller radius/range and deals less damage. Skip, had improved tacking but still very lackluster in damage Flux, will stick people but dependent on their armor and Heath won't kill them, which is sad. During bladedancer super, you don't have a slight shield/armor like before. All in all, I have still been successful using it. Only annoying party is having to hit sun breakers 2-3 times just to kill them, which usually ended up in a trade. I hit them and on my last hit they smack a hammer down and we both die. I timed my bladedancer normally after an enemy had used their us breaker hammer. Since if not planned right, they can simple fling a hammer your way and kill you in super while rampaging across the map killing everyone else they encounter lol annoying!
