While I understand the personal gain you and other players might receive from that option. It's not the game mechanics fault you don't have the time to work their system for the rewards. That sounds harsh but in all honesty, selling anything obtainable through loot drops in game would break this system for the majority of players in destiny. Pay to gain isn't a long term fix. It'll just divide the community, kill play time as people will just buy gear. Sure it's more money for bungie but that's not everything. Come'on yo!
