Seems there is no down side. I'm going to try for intellect/discipline role on my ruin wings any other exotic armor I have.

4 RepliesYes. Rolled my voidfang for intellect and sniper. Now have tier 5 int and discipline and sniper mo instead of tier 4 five and 1 and handcannon. Also let me hit 309 with those perks.

Defs worth it for setting trials/banner/raid setups, doesn't reset progress at all, got 90 int on my mask of the third man with replenish, rolled sniper reloader on a few, I like them good way to set things out would be op but wish I could do raid gear.

Used about 12, nothing really worthwhile in the rolls on my guantlets and chestpiece, but had about 30 exotic shards not being used...

Good to have a few on you if your rolls aren't good. But for me? I've been getting good perks from drops so I don't need them yet.

4 RepliesMaybe for gauntlet to change the reload perk. I rerolled my helmet 15 times trying to get intellect n discipline but couldn't get one combo. The fact that it doesn't change the perks is lame, I wanted to get health regen on orb pickup but stuck with invigoration... With no armor engram xur is back to being next to useless... Great job destiny it only took a month to make xur worthless. Keep up the good work.... 👎

I will this weekend, I have a few exotics that desperately need rerolling. Until then, I'll keep tooling around IB until my Hunter gets a cloak. Also, holy crap that catchup rep on alts it absurd. I hit rank 5 on my warlock last night, about 6 games in and my hunter is rank 2.

Guys!!!! Just buy a different one from the vendor machine. It resets the perks, but not intellect/disc/strength stats.

Just rolled Scout rifle or shotgun ammo on my Crest, better than handcannon and fusion rifle like it had. So, theres that. Tested it out on my spare one just in case.

I bought 9. Changed the stats on my Don't touch me's, so now I have intellect on them. Still, reforging is a shadow of the awesome feature it once was.

5 RepliesI will probably buy just one and use it once simply to be able to say "been there, done that, worn the T-shirt". But if I'm reading this website correctly it looks like they cost coins, motes AND an exotic shard. The latter seems like a pretty hefty price to pay. Especially now that Xur doesn't sell exotic shards for 7 coins any more. His cheapest item to give a shard are armor pieces at 13 coins. I suppose I still have al lthe year 1 exotics in the vault still waiting to be broken but I cannot see a (random!) perk re-roll on armor being worth the cost?

If I can get scout rifle reload on my Ahamkara Grasps it will be well worth it.

4 RepliesBought some, not like there's anything else to buy with half the damn exotics being held back. Used a few to reroll my nemesis to have bonus super energy from killing minions and health regen on orbs. It is random though.....so worth is really hard to determine. [b]They do not reset xp, just change the stats (strength, discipline, intelligence) and reroll the perks.[/b]
