Are shotguns ruining crucible
Trying to bring some attention to bungee that they are making crucible shotgun only please have you're say.

The maps are too small. Too many of the maps are CQB. Therefore people use shot guns and other CQB weapons. There aren't enough large sized maps to balance things. Maps are the problem not the guns.

I don't think we should spawn with special ammo. that's why kids run shotty the whole time. Both special and heavy should only spawn once to focus more on primary gun skill rather than power weapons ruling matches.

Best way to fix this is over use of the same weapon should apply a debuff to the weapons attack. holding another weapon for at least 5 to 10 seconds should get rid of the debuff but getting a kill with another weapon should instantly get rid of the debuff. In all fairness there is nothing wrong with shotguns do to the low rate of fire and range. Yes I do agree with you on the subject tho at times I've been one hit by shotguns from mid range.

5 RepliesA: Special and Heavy weapons should be restricted in Iron Banner. by that i mean they should only become available when five minutes is left on the clock, this would force people to use their primary instead of their crutch. B: Shotguns should only be available to Titans, Snipers for Hunters and Fusion for Warlocks. Due to the fact players like to use blink with shotguns, this would remove that tactic completely. Now people may think my second suggestion is unfair, but i see it as the only solution to the current situation in the Crucible.

1 ReplyThe #1 PVP player on play station uses a shotgun.... Go figure. My grimoire is 4625 and I'm still missing the shotgun kills. I just never really could get myself to use them. Always been a sniper guy. They are more challenging to get a kill with. IMO.

3 RepliesShotguns aren't ruining crucible for me. If anything ruins crucible for me it is my own inconsistent game play. Decent one game and then piss poor the next. Besides, my playstyle seems to be best suited for mid-range and patience. I am adjusting to using scout rifles like I used the dmr from halo, so many of my engagements are not always up close and personal.

It's better than before. Matador, fel and party crashed was over ranged and deadly from ranges that primaries should have been in play. Now it's not as bad.

I like the rushing playstyle so a shotgun is one of the best option, it all about playstyle and knowhow how to play the objective. Most IB players know this stop complaining enjoy the game....pvp is not made for easy

Frankly I'm about tired of this game I'm getting tired of their map designs catering to Call of Duty players and their weapon balancing is atrocious. Anyone of us in these forums who play on a regular basis would easily be able to fix their weapon balancing system and these guys can't figure it out. It gets old being forced to play a certain way just so you don't get -blam!- in every crucible match

2 RepliesEdited by Average: 10/17/2015 3:27:43 AMim someone that used to exclusively blink shotgun. i am willing to bet that if you scroll down your comments list and look at the people that are arguing in support of shotguns, you will see that they have even worse precision percentages on their primary than i do. it takes a long time to dig thousands and thousand of bad gun skill kills out of the dirt like im trying to do now. some people will never grow up. it really is a matter of maturity. some people do not care what it takes, as long as they get a kill. their parents are probably to blame. they never taught them anything about sportsmanship, courage or integrity. yes, this is a video game. but how you conduct yourself in competition, regardless of the venue, is one of the greatest indicators of personal character. in other words, most of these guys are trash. i played against a kid today who was running a sunsinger warlock. i main a sunsinger. this kid was running fusion grenades. i asked him why, even though he has the best grenade in the game, he still chooses to run fusion grenades. he said it was to piss people off and get cheap kills. i told him he didn't have any skill. he said he didn't care as long as he won or got the kill. case closed

5 RepliesDude shut up. I've seen more snipers, scouts rifles and fusion rifles more than shotguns. The only thing ruining the crucible is people complaining about every little niche people find. Find what works and what you can do to counter your enemies. Be strategic and find a way to gain the advantage. Nough said.
