It is theorized that these eggs are the real guardians because when you are in the mine field, a faint sentinel beam can be seen shooting in your direction. The beam is believed to activate the mines and they can be traced back to the Easter Eggs. It originally was derived from the protective shield associated with a religious figure when related in myths and images. The wearing of the aegis and its contents show sponsorship, protection, or authority derived from yet a higher source or deity. The name has been extended to many other entities, and the concept of a protective shield is found in other mythologies, while its form varies across sources. The aegis was apparently given to the greeks and jewish people from a fire breathing monster and then i found this A few months before Halo 3 came out, i remember reading an update which mentioned "The biggest Easter Egg ever". I don't believe Bungie has told us that it has been found yet. It is possible it has been found, or it may still be out there. When i first heard about the method to get the I Would Have Been Your Daddy skull, i thought that was it. I don't think that anymore though. I still think this Easter Egg is out there and i think it could be on Sandtrap. Why Sandtrap? First, I believe its Sandtrap due to the description of one of last month's updates. It had a picture of Sandtrap and said "It's a barren wasteland, or is it?". Also, there are the elephants. The elephants are what i believe contribute to the Easter Egg. How? Not quite sure yet but after doing some research it seems like they are the key. As some of you may have noticed each elephant has a different name, one is the Leviathan and the other, the Behemoth. Well after doing a few searches on both these names i found a connection between them. They are both Biblical creatures. The Leviathan is said to be a large sea monster (possibly whale, serpent or crocodile). The Behemoth is said to be a enormous land animal (possibly ox, elephant, hippo or rhino). I also found a connection to one more name, the Ziz. The Ziz is said to be a large bird like creature whose wingspan can block out the sun. It is said that the Behemoth and the Leviathan fight and the The Creator will approach them with his mighty sword [and slay them]. He will then use the skin of the Leviathan to make canopies for shelter of the righteous, who will eat the meat of the Behemoth and the Leviathan in a large banquet. So what does this have to do with Halo 3 and Sandtrap? Well i find a few things that stick out. First the names on the elephants greatly relates to this. Also how the Creator will slay them with his "sword" (possible lead to energy sword). Maybe you have to make the elephants "fight" or somehow combine them with the Ziz (possibly hornet). The one thing that i believe to be the Ziz though is the Aegis Fate (large ship that looks like the dawn). How or if it has a connection with the elephants, I dont know. I actually haven't read the behemoth page yet, i got some information of the behemoth from the leviathan page. I think the aegis fate is the ziz, as i think that the ziz is referring to a dragon and it is all connected. The ring around sandtrap is meant to represent the halo delta , So it is located in delta halo in halo 2. If you line all the towers up it resembles the Star of David The star of david also is called the shield of david because there was new technology in the time of david and two interlocking triangles were the best solution for shields now going back to the aegis the aegis was also a shield, so could this aegis be a shield for sandtrap?? Another explanation was that david made this symbol because david knew that god protected the jews from all six directions, east, west, north, south, up, and down. Now the covenant which is the elites and prophets (when the came together they sorted a deal hense the name covenant) are zealots, which are a jewish group back when the romans were around, The zealots revolted against the romns in 66Ad-70AD it was known as the great jewish war, now the elites and prophets had a battle which cause thousands of casualties just like the great jewish war, but that's not it, the zealots then joined the romans in what isnow known as Reconciliation, which is exactly what happened to the prophets and the elites in what they called the age of reconciliation, The secret is not a weapon or a cutscene or anything like that, it is information, this is the secret, Sandtrap was the battleground where the prophets and the elites battled and wrote the writ of oath, it all adds up!
