Year 2 armor looks cool, but presents few options for appearance.
I like the new Legendary armor, but since only Year Two armor can reach usable Light levels, players largely all look the same now, an unfortunate phenomenon the has precedent in Vanilla raid gear and Dark Below raid gear. Once Etheric Light came out with House of Wolves, players could wear basically whatever they wanted, and still be effective. There was lots of gear diversity, and it was always cool using and seeing old gear that someone had hoarded in hopes of using it again.
What's even more baffling is that Rare Warlock gear (especially the new Seraph gear, that chestpiece is one of my favorites! Has the Warmind logo, it's way cool) fits the Warlock aesthetic so well and is so unfortunately useless.
I'd really like to see some more usable variation on equipment generally. How about forced rerolls of old gear into the new system? I want to use my Nerigal Savant III gear and my Shadow Price!

I know it came back with New Monarchy but it has some decals on it that kinda ruin the rogue-ish aesthetic that the gear had before TTK. And the perks were also decent. Makes me wonder why there aren't more options with over a years worth of gear, and why the wasted all those good models for legendary gear that they rendered. It doesn't feel like real progression to me.
