Getting raid gear is harder than its ever been... worse than the dark below
We dont just have to get lucky enough for the armor piece to drop.... now we have to be lucky enough for it to drop at 310...
Ive ran the raid on 3 characters since launch and been stuck at 305 for 3 weeks...
My last raid had everything drop at 300 or 302...
How do you guys feel about this?

I doubt that you played Crota's End, or you wouldn't be saying stupid things like that.... Crota had the best loot table...in 2-3 weeks I had all my characters @ 32 level. The King's Fall on the other hand, is completely broken...I've been beating it from the first week it was released, and still haven't got the complete set of armor...or any decent weapon. I remember few weeks before TTK was released they said that they had revised the loot system, and that it would check the drops we had so far and we would get new stuff...yeah right...like when you finish a Nightfall and the reward for getting your ass kicked is just a single mote of light I'm just waiting for the hard mode of the raid and then I'm pretty much done with Destiny. I can't put up with the lies, and false promises from Deej and Co...

Honestly you think the drop rates in this game are bad even vog then you're sadly mistaken, wow was a real grind with a very low drop rate sometimes it was weeks before you got anything drop at all.

1 ReplyI 100% totally and utterly disagree, the way the new light system works you don't need to be 310 on the second week like crotas end had us at 32, the new system caters to the loot grabbing casuals who want everything in two runs like crotas end, and the real gamers who were happy with the vog drop system

Bungie would like you to know that we value a players time and hard work! How we intend to fix the issue of players not getting gear is by putting in a placebo item that makes people thibk they have a better chance at loot. They'll shards and when you take 20 in we'll be sure to only give you back 2 shards and no gear. Read the disclaimer we made sure to say it only increases the chance of drops! Increases the chance of more shards that is!

Same boat... It's the old 29 FOR DAYZZZzzzzz " ALL OVER AGAIN " Ran it on my 3rd character this week... Arrived @ Oryx with about 30 Moldering Shards... NOT A SINGLE Armour OR GUN drop... Got a poxy Hawkmoon for finishing it.... WOW ! Never mind... Soon be November 6th... Cant come quick enough...

I would say that the Dark Below raid drop rates were super high compered with KF. Even the VoG gear drop rates look generous compared with KF.

Last run, I got 2 titan marks (I already had 310 mark) and a 304 ghost (got 308). Wasted: 20 shard....

VOG was the hardest for me. I can't seem to get those dam gauntlets for my Titan though.

VoG was worse for me. Took me 2 months of raiding to get one piece of gear to drop.

Edited by Racebum: 10/15/2015 8:32:23 AMworse than vog. i've done the raid since launch on all 3 and have never gotten a chest for any class, only 1 hunter helmet, most all low stats for boots and amrs past 5 oryx clears have been 2 shards while getting to level 30 err 300 is easier now than vog by a mile the loots drops are very bad in the oryx raid

I'm happy with the loot drops tbh. 308 warlock 307 hunter and armour seems to drop frequently enough. Bleh did oryx once on my Titan and he got a chest piece :D (moldering shards)

The only thing that you would want to drop at 310 is the class armor and the Ghost everything else was meant to drop around 309 and less so you can infuse. That's the point of infuse

Hard mode will drop higher gear.

Just made a post myself saying the exact same thing before reading this, its an absolute disgrace and broken just like eveything else regarding this game!

You're titan is 307. Bungie isn't going to let you rush to max 310 overall light in a couple of weeks. You only have 12 completions. You only have 12 clears...that's not the most possible you could have done since the raid has been released.

Been playing raid each week since ttk launch, still no armor for my titan.

Got 3 chest pieces and 4 ghosts today. I keep getting the same drops on every character.

You wanna know why? So we keep grinding the raid over and over week after week to get everything maxed out eventually...

Done the raid 3 times on my warlock(didnt play last week and havent played this week then just havent bothered raiding on titan/hunter) all 3 times I had gauntlets drop from golgoroth and no other armor from any checkpoint Ive had 2 or 3 class items but my bond was already at 299 when the raid was released and have had 2 ghosts(only good non-weapon drop ive had) Got the hand cannon and scout rifle my first time through then the auto rifle on my third(?) and have had no other weapon drops[spoiler]only the scout rifle is actually usable though and even then its basically a generic scout rifle[/spoiler]Does anyone else feel like the cocoon ability kinda sucks? Im sure its great on the MG but for other weapons Id rather they just had a reasonable reload stat to begin with and have an actually useful perk in that slot(not to mention none of the guns ive seen have a higher than normal stat to make up for having no reload unless you count bonus damage to taken) Idk maybe thats just me[spoiler]Also...Worse than dark below? The only thing about TDB was/is getting the crux every other item dropped all the time Did you mean VoG?[/spoiler]
