Like I said in another thread when they monetize things that are economy based like Marks, Glimmer, and Reputation (things that lead to gameplay related drops that would upset the 'tempo' of Destiny), then we could talk. And straight up purchasing Legendaries or Exotics is off the table for me. But I well and truly do not care about how long somebody took to gain XP, especially after Motes being able make XP gain a slight inconvenience.

Dude you're giving them too much credit here. Xur will probably sell the consumable along side 3oC for strange and ever will sell strange. Inb4 this is what happens. -blam!- bung hole with a hot iron. If raid drops weren't so terrible we wouldn't need this item to begin with.

There are TONS of bum items in the database dude... Most of them have been there since launch. Relics of different ideas that were ultimately scrapped for better ones In this case, Indomitable light was probably the prelude to moldering shards.

They probably played just as much as you.

What a ridiculous argument... real life status directly effects ingame status. Those with jobs can spend far less time gaming than dole bludgers who play 24/7, those with families can spend less time playing than those without, those who need to work two jobs to pay the bills play far less than those who can make do with one. There would be people who can't even afford to buy the game even if they would want to. There are plenty of circumstances where people can't acheive what they would like in the game due to RL limitations. Any perceived 'value' of accomplishments in the game is imagined. It's there to have fun, the more inclusive the better. When you stop playing or the game dies you haven't achieved anything of any real value. At the moment most games cater to those who can play more, even with how Bungie have limited activities with dailies and weeklies it still greatly benefits those who play more, NOT those who play better, which should be the true judgement of who gets what. If anything micro transactions supporting the game is a win, in the vast majority of cases game makers realise it's important they don't allow people to 'buy' wins, so most items are cosmetic with no real impact on the game, and something which may help your rewards by completing content is hardly something to complain about, moldy shards (sp I know) anyone - the more you raid the more loot you get - regardless of how poor the raid loot system currently is. Which may be explained by unreleased drop rate improving consumables. Plus with micro transactions everyone can play without paying for incessant DLC content and dumb people can support everyone else with their purchases. Try formulating an argument that actually makes some kind of logical sense and while you're at it stop misrepresenting what Bungie officials have said.
