Okay so bungie have nerfed shotgun on 3 different occasions but the sniper rifle which basically lock on to an enemy behind a 4 foot block of concrete are still considered fair?
Edit: I regret this post.
Edit: Just so everyone know this is speaking from a snipers perspective all I'm saying is they seem a little off. Stop jumping to bloody assumptions. Jees

I've been seeing a lot of body sniping then using a weapon swap perk and finishing off with a primary.
-
Sniping takes skill. I personally run with mine instead of camping as much.
-
It's fine, too much aim assist is bad. I liked my Spear more than my Her Benevolence with Hidden Hand. Personal preference
-
Honestly I think specials are very well balanced right now. Snipers are a totally viable option, so are shotguns (although maybe Rangefinder should leave like Shot Package) and even fusions have a place since Shot Package has left. Hell even sidearms are useful for stopping shotty rushers.

1 ReplyI find it more annoying when I'm shooting a guy and his team mate runs Infront and drags my curser I would rather no aim assist
-
Snipers take skill, I never get frustrated when I get killed full health by a sniper because I know the guy who killed me has skill. Whenever I get killed by a shotgun I get a but mad because it takes no skill.
-
People play with whatever guns Bungie supply and I'm easy with that. The only thing I'd like to see is the removal of any aim assist.

3 RepliesIt's a little ridiculous to me that people claim aim assist to be that much of a crutch. Yeah, it makes your sights a bit more sticky, but it's not some god like shit that can make a scrub good at sniping. I'm pretty good at destiny. I've had 2.0+ games every match tonight in iron banner. Check my recent games if you need verification, & it doesn't matter what sniper I use, I'm not some sniping God because it has high AA. It just doesn't work like that. You need to have steady fingers & good over alignment & to be predictive of people's movements + map positioning. There's a lot of variables when it comes to being a good sniper. Aim assist is one of the least important, if not the least. It doesn't matter if I'm running Yasmin, Stare, Benevolence, Longbow...the aim assist won't make somebody a fantastic sniper. Somebody who's already nasty are the ones who benefit the most from having aim assist. Knowing how to drag scope, & when to slow down that joystick at the perfect timing in tandem with the amount of aim assist on that particular rifle. Knowing just how hard they need to pull, depending on how sticky their scope is. I disagree with taking shot package out of the table completely. It was a bullshit thing to do. Shotguns are still killing a hell of a lot. Now people are just moving to high RoF shotguns so they can blink, slide, & shade step right next to you & spray the shit out of you. It's sad as hell.

6 RepliesNot even sure why we need aim assist. If you can't hit a target on your own skill, why play?
-
Earlier today, I quickscoped a Titan in the head and killed a hunter just as he activated his Golden Gun. Very satisfying
-
Aim assist was already broken and trials proved that with the run past revive trick, and now it's even worse.
-
5 Repliesaim assist on 1000 yd is only 56
-
Why do you regret it? It's a valid point that I personally agree with. Don't regret putting your point across just because others may not agree or become offensive. Good on you for the post.
-
Aim assist helps you hit moving target... Running,.. Jumping... But it actually takes skill to hit a shot
-
-
People act like it's extremely hard to snipe in this game, yeah it's not as easy as using a shotgun but it's still easy
-
Basically because ain't no way I peek out for a split second leaving only my pinky toe out and get head shotted
-
4 RepliesI get killed by shotguns 100x more than snipers.. Shotguns are so gdamn annoying
-
3 RepliesI hear that hereafter has the highest aim assist value of all snipers. That true? I also like how it handles. Feels nice when I'm aiming at shanks and things
-
7 RepliesEdited by High Charity: 10/18/2015 4:38:00 AMAim assist is how much your scope moves after your crosshairs are over an enemy, and doesn't affect the actual hitbox. You're thinking of bullet magnetism.
-
Bow down
-
As much as I snipe, I do agree.
-
I agree with this actually.
-
You went full retard bro lmao Never go full retard
-
But, you're not a sniper OP..
-
And yet everyone uses shotguns? Your post was dumb and snipers were nerfed more than shotguns
