I think I'm more disappointed that everything costs marks now, as if it wasn't hard enough to get marks, but I've been saving glimmer up like crazy for IB and now have absolutely nothing to spend glimmer on, like seriously, what good is glimmer now?

side arms are good weapons and this IB sidearm is arguably the best. the pulse rifle rivals almost every single pulse rifle if it has the right perks. and you... you struggle with a 1.1 k/d and think your opinion has weight about how "disappointing" iron banner is this year. cant wait for players like this to sorta stop playing competitively..

I used to grind for a whole week on 3 characters to get everything from IB because the level of the gear was on par or better than raid gear and exotic gear. This would help me be competitive in all facets of game play without having to run raids all the time. Then even if did have the time to run a raid and actually find a group and get coordinated I would still be at the mercy of RNG in order to get that next piece of armor I need to max out my level. They screwed up bottom line. Why would you grind for countless hours to get 280 gear when you can go run a few 240-260 strikes pop a 3 of coins and get exotics, lengendaries and BLUE armor that is 280 and up. I have freaking blue boots that are 294 for God sake that I got off of just completing a 240 strike. I got my Supercell from patrolling the cosmodrome. It dropped as a purple and decoded into an exotic. So if I am trying to get to 300-310...and the future Hard Raid is going to be 320-340...why the shit would I spend a crap ton of hours to get a piece of armor or a weapon that is 280 light? Oh but the Bungie Gods promised we would get awesome stuff dropped as end match rewards right? Well I havent heard a single one of you say they have gotten gear that is helping you to get to 300 and beyond. So basically there is nothing to get me excited about playing Iron Banner. Absolutely nothing. I used to really look forward to it, not anymore. On top of that they also said you would get less duplicates off of engrams and light levels that match or slightly suprass what you currently have. I am at 294 and CONSTANTLY get shit that is 270 or below. I did half a raid last night and all the engrams I decoded where absolute worthless shit. 264 gear off of an engram in a raid??? Cmon Bungie!!

Good thing I enjoy playing iron banner for the fun of it...cuz the loot is SEVERELY lackluster.

You get armor and weapon drops at rank three, and the rewards get better each day

Bungie stated the increased armor and weapon drops once you're at the appropriate rank. That's the primary source of the goodies!

I'm surprised anyone thought that Iron Banner would drop 300 level gear. Iron Banner has never been endgame for crucible. Trials of Osiris was created to be endgame/raid equivalent for crucible. The pulse rifle actually looks pretty decent and i'm fairly certain pulse rifles are going to be the meta for trials and competitive play.

Only the wolf pelt is worth fighting for. What kind of drops are people getting in Iron Banner? So far I've seen people getting drops in the 280s and 290s. Nothing that would interest someone over with 300 light. Also, most of the Iron Banner participants I've seen have less than 300 light. Iron Banner isn't the end-game it used to be.

You kidding the pulse has maxes stability

The pulse is actually good. Same roll as a nerfed hopscotch basically, which is still good. I get your point though. The motivation for the rewards isn't really there for me.

The drop rate is also garbage. They claimed that IB gear would drop for people at completion of games and we could buy items from Salad Man only if needed. I've not seen one IB drop for anyone. So much for that... Thanks, Bungie.
