I think it's more for the stagger effect than actual damage output. I mean you can keep the war priest in eternal sulk mode if you land all critical with Black Spindle

Yeah but tom is for sisters not warpriest. Warpriest you better use a sniper lol

You don't use ToM at warpriest just daughters and oyrx. All other parts use snipers...

Two raid snipers and a solar grenade staggered Taniks so hard he fell over, I've done that strike many times and never saw his head hit the ground once

Against the earlier bosses, you're definietly right. But against the daughters and Oryx, there's no need for a stagger effect because you're immune from all damage anyway. Plus, Oryx staggers based on amount of damage rather than amount of impact. The way I see it is: Black Spidle is ideal for Warpriest and Golgoroth. ToM is ideal for Daughters and Oryx.
