I wanna hear everyone's opinion on this and their reasoning/evidence

Sometimes u only get a couple attack points out of it def shouldnt cost shards i have plenty but still dont think it should cost my shards for 5 points or less
-
If you're using an exotic to infuse another exotic, no.
-
I have over 175 exotic shards it could cost 10 for all I care.
-
2 Repliesi have 150 exotics shards it should cost 5 per infusion at least u peasants
-
I think it's fine because you can buy an engram and shard it for 13 coins. Coins are decently easy to farm by just playing any part of the game. Exotics should take more effort to upgrade so we will have to make tough choices and everyone won't be using the same ones.
-
Only if you infuse an exotic into an exotic, then yes. If you're infusing a purple into an exotic then it's stupid as hell.
-
I hate how zur no longer sells them they aren't exactly common and infusing exotics is are rare occasion because of that
-
No but they should be implemented in the game more some how i.e. Faction rep or make them like a 3oC
-
2 RepliesI vote no. I might have voted differently if we could still buy exotic shards from xur. Not sure why they'd remove that when we need they have more use now for infusing. If you're not a yr1 with a shit load of exotic shards, how would someone get them now in quantity?
-
I wouldn't mind if xur still sold em...the problem I have is infusing cost 10 -blam!-ing weapon parts..-blam!-..maybe 5 but shit u only get 2 to 3 for dismantling unleveled guns
-
Yeah. Give me a reason to get rid of my 50+...
-
Yes, and give Xur some shards back too!
-
Idgaf I have so many exotic shards I infuse exotics in to legendaries all the time.
-
It's a trick to lessen the amount of shards that the year one "shard collectors" have (the ones with 100s of shards) while continuing a necessary grind for those who don't. You need strange coins to get 3 of Coins and/or engrams to dismantle. Those strange coins need to be grinded for.

1 ReplyTo the people who played destiny every day of their lives since day 1 and have hundreds of every upgrade material it probably doesn't matter, but I can see it becoming a problem once I go through my last 6. I can't get an exotic to drop to save my life since the update, only the quest ones which I don't want to dismantle. 60 3 of coins with only one engram to show for them.
-
3 RepliesIt does. Doesn't it?
-
1 ReplyYes, but place the exotic being infused closer to the value of the weapon being dismantled.
-
1 ReplyIt already does, look at the materials required next time you go to bump up your exotics
-
I say not while it's so far and few between getting them. And just think, if this new RNG system actually worked like it was supposed to, there'd be no new ones. Practically.

Edited by CavScout00: 10/13/2015 3:14:04 AMOr use exotic shards to increase a peice of gear 3-5 levels.
-
1 Replysitting on 100+ exotic shards.. what else do i use them for..
-
3 RepliesNo other use for em
-
How many do people have? I at about 120
-
3 RepliesYes Exotics are meant to be a little more difficult to obtain and upgrade. At this point it may be more only difficult to infuse/upgrade for newbies, but veteran players will have, and have earned, an easier time in this area
-
7 RepliesHonestly I don't see bungies logic on this, playing on my newly bought ps4 (after spending the whole of the first year exclusive to xb1) I didn't get much time in before TTK dropped so I can see a complete newcomer to the series experience on this and it's horrendous. Before TTK dropped I had celestial nighthawk drop from a helmet engram I bought and that was all, I saved my few coins for TTK. I have had 5 exotics drop since TTK came out, 2 of those were 4th horsemen so that's a shard, my old nighthawk is 2. I don't want to shard anymore. And you can't buy them anymore. So how is a new player coming in this year or a returning player going to be able to infuse any exotics? Makes no sense.
-
Yes. That way more people are encouraged to do all available activities that give an exotic as a reward or has the chance to. That equals more playing time, and thus feeding the machine even more. Boom!
