Charged Agonarch Rune :: Bungie Communication Issue.
As with many others, I'm stuck on 44 of 45 calcified fragments. Having the Agonarch Rune broken is certainly an inconvenience. The big issue here is the lack of communication from Bungie about the issue and its resolution. Yes, there were ways to exploit the system [3 charges in a day, put the rune in the vault, etc...] Yes, people were doing these exploits. From what I and others can tell, Bungie disabled the terminal over the weekend as a stop gap to fix the glitching of the materials/engrams.
However, this should have come with some sort of notification from Bungie. Literally anyone on the Bungie team could have tweeted, posted here or talked to one of many prominent YouTubers to get a public response out. Something to the effect of "People were abusing the Agonarch Rune terminal. We are working on a solution to this problem. We believe it will take X days to resolve. We apologize that the actions of a few have impacted the game for so many."
This is very similar to the issues with the Elder Cypher bounties not working. They were broken for a week before Bungie ever really commented on what the problem might have been and how they were planning to fix it. While I do understand that it takes more than a small handful of community managers to stay on top of all of the open issues in Destiny. I don't understand why either Deej, Cozmo, @Bungie or @BungieHelp or even Luke Smith hasn't made an official post about this. Cozmo has been tweeting about sports all weekend. I understand that he probably isn't compensated to work 24/7. However, speaking from experience, it's not hard to manage a small team in a way that provides 24/7 coverage for consumer facing communications.
Sorry to ramble.
TL;DR - Technical problems happen. If something changes game mechanics, company should let people know what's going on.

16 RepliesHello, Charged Agonarch Runes can one again be used. You may need to return to orbit and return to the Dreadnaught for this change to apply. For the time being, Agonarch Runes cannot be transferred on the Destiny Mobile Companion Application. Thank you for your patience.

It really is a shame how Bungie thinks that it is okay to completely screw over 95% of their players for the actions of a small group of people. It has become clear that Bungie was more worried about getting their Emote store up rather than fix a problem that was so simple. Bungie's solution was to just shut the terminal off for the Charged Agonarch Rune. By doing this, Bungie has effectively locked the Touch of Malice, one of the most sought after guns in TTK, from being attained by anyone.

8 RepliesI don't understand how this is such a huge deal. You don't have to get the Agonarch rune chest to get to 45 fragments. I missing the Agonarch fragment and 2 from tier 3 CoO and I'm at 44/45. Now if there were only a consistent way to get Antiquated runes I could get my 45th fragment

Just making this as a PSA: [b][i]EVEN IF THE RUNE ISN'T FIXED, YOU CAN DO THIS WEEK'S TIER 3 COURT OF ORYX EVENT FOR THAT FINAL FRAGMENT!!!![/i][/b] I noticed that there were quite a few people who didn't even view that as an option, make sure to spread the word so people can get on their way to ToM!

44/45 fragments on my Warlock and on my second character (Titan) I picked 2 fragments. I have been backtracking all the fragment locations and can't find the one I am missing. I have been waiting for about 4 days now for the Agonarch Rune fix just so that I can get the ToM please provide a solution!

Seriously, Out of all the BS Bungie guys put out with this waste of time patch, you couldn't do 1 thing that was effecting more then 95% of the community.... Fixing the Agonarch Rune quest... No you know what I'm sorry, its about 98% of the destiny community. But hey whats more important.... getting your cash shop up so the yearning and wanting to be more like Activation can subside a little or fixing something that people have already paid for rather then worry about more ways to take their money. This is not a MMORPG BUNGIE! I don't get why that's so hard to understand. There is no trading in this game or RTS'ing so WTF does it matter if people are farming a chest that can give them mats, runes, and legendary's.... Honestly if you actually need to be told that the reason people actually stay and play destiny is the Sexy Exotics and not Fu**ing Legendary's then this is a lost cause. Who's ever idea it was to LOCK a VERY SOUGHT AFTER question line needs to be shot in the knees and fired. seriously UNLOCK THE QUEST ALREADY....................

Today 10/13.2015 after I did the patch I thought maybe they would have fixed the agronach rune so I could get my last two fragments. But to my disappointment all I got was a emote.... When I walk up to the charged agronarch rune terminal It will not let me use it, I also did not exploit I took the time to get all taken threat charges.

1 Replyso much for fixing it with the reset. bungie needs to fix things in game rather then hinder peoples playing. and further more its not just about going to the court of oryx and getting your fragment from there. people spent everyday coming in to use this particulier item to get it charged so they can do this quest and get their fragment for it. if the engrams were a problem then they should just have removed it from the drop all together,but then again that would have been to simple for their feeble minds to compute and it wouldnt have ruined anyones progress or play through except those who had exploited the engram situation to begin with. why not erase their cryptarch levels and bring them all the way back to 0 and make them start over again on fresh accounts bungie. ever thought of that one. spent way to much money in this game for you guys to constantly jack crap up in here with your band-aid patches.cant even believe you have the brass ones to even suggest paying more money through the ps store for in game currency for emblems and shaders and such. dont think a few billion dollars cant support itself? stop feeding the funds into other games and use it directly to this one. anyone can say their peae of mind if they want as well concerning my comment but im here to tell you all ,i use to program myself.I know how the system works so bungie isnt lying to me.you all can be fooled if you want to.
