Im still trying to get mine over 300! Up to 297 now. As soon as I get my second exotic sword weds I'll probably put both of mine into it to get it to 310. Well think I need to get to 300 first then put them into it. And just rebuy the swords at 280. :) I haven't gotten past the war priest though, just tried for the first time this past weekend. Only had a 300 legendary sniper cause I spaced on the two spindle days. So think it's my best choice for an exotic slot for now. Maybe if I can get my hereafter up to 300? Would people recommend Hereafter over as for exotic slot? Kings fall newb here! Thanks for any tips! And I love the sleeper sim. Dunno why people say it sucks. I guess they don't only go for crits? Seems like the only way to make SS shine is critical hits. If people aren't doing that then I guess I get why they say it sucks. But I think it's more user error.

  • Instead of burning your swords just wait for hm when 310-320 weapons start dropping.

basically what everyone else is saying, go with the 1000 yard stare. Black spindle is a good exotic if you're hell bent on using an exotic sniper. with the perk that refills the ammo after 3 head shots you can constantly shoot most bosses. but for DPS on most of the bosses, Sleeper and 1000 yard stare is a great combo. especially if you've got a titan with weapons of light I've also been considering infusing my sleeper with my 310 void sword. arc and solar are both amazing and wreck bosses like alak-hul or the flayers. But they aren't much good in most other boss fights, though they are hard to beat when it comes to adds. But I have the luxury of having all three swords on one character. I think people were stuck in their ways, and wanted a weapon that did all the work for them, they wanted an easy button. Like the G-horn. SS is not super easy to use. not to mention all of the misinformation that was going around, like that it could crit anywhere you hit the target, or that it did DOT, like thorn (of course I only heard this rumor once). Yes you have to aim for headshots and charge it, it takes more skill than a rocket launcher that tracks the target then peppers them with explosive sea-urchins, sure. Is it bad because it takes more skill than a G-horn. Hell no. with melting point and 2 SS you can shred almost every single strike boss, won't even take a full clip. people who say it sucks are just salty because of the way it was introduced. which so am I, but I'm not taking it out on the SS. it's my baby. lol

  • Hey bro just a tip, but getting rid of your 310 swords is a bad idea especially for that. Yes I know you can just buy them again, but at least two of the exotic swords are much more useful at 310 than sleeper is

  • The arc one I'll definitely keep at 310. Still undecided on the void one. It's just ok

  • Heh, if anything arc is the weakest. Solar and void both wreck incredible amounts of face.

  • Hereafter is average, 1000 yard stare is the beast sniper

  • Hereafter is meh in impact, better get an Omolon Eirene RR4 sold regularly by the gunsmith or a Thousand Yard Stare from the vanguard. Saves you the exotic slot and both have high impact which is more important than high rate of fire.
